The female doctor we had before was super nice but we WONT be returning because of this D-BAG. I brought my cat in for a simple thyroid panel because he has hyper-thyroidism. All we needed today was medication. He repeatedly tried to FORCE ME TO GET MY CAT VACCINATED!!! FOR REFERENCE MY CAT IS 15 AND INDOORS ONLY. He kept saying how its for the safety of the staff and its going to be a "BIG PROBLEM" if my cat bites him. My cat has NEVER EVER bitten ANYONE. I told him if you're not comfortable then don't do it. MIND YOU i made the appointment with a vet-tech the day before but because its a vet-tech and he's "not vaccinated" he had to be seen by a doctor. So much for that. Carlos is dumber than a pile of bricks. My cat has been receiving the vaccine all his life. There is no actual need for him to receive one ever again. Carlos was trying to FORCE me to get the vaccine using threats which is NOT OK.

If you have ever have an emergency this is not the place…read more Back a couple of months ago my doggie started having a really awful ear infection and they couldn't help us so we took her somewhere else. Yet another emergency comes up with my second doggie (can't hold fluids, food and bloody stool) and needed some help. Been coming there for a while but my wife and I decided to not come here anymore mostly because of customer service and availability. According to front desk staff they were triple booked (I think she meant overbooked) and that we had to wait hours to be taken care of. Long story short, took my doggie to the ER room down the road (First Coast Veterinary) they're incredible - I wish they were more than just an ER room. Black and white difference. The funny thing is that they recognized us, we keep going there because at Cole's there's rarely availability for either walk ins or emergencies. Front desk staff is so inconsistent with customer service. There's been times where I have walked in and they don't even say hello, just not welcoming. Just make sure you show up when they're in a good mood. Dr. Cole - awesome, he's patient, caring and knowledgeable. five stars for him. Customers service - inconsistent, could potentially be perceived as rude, not welcoming, unprofessional. one star for front desk staff. Availability - one star, I was a client for years and always had to go somewhere else. I attached First Coast ER phone number in case you want to check them out but again you'll be impressed.

Dr G is the best, and the staff there is wonderful. I recently had to help a friend with his elderly dog who was very ill and the beach clinic worked them in at the last minute on a Saturday and were wonderfully compassionate and accommodating. They made a very tough day a little easier and definitely were there for us when it really mattered. They take the role of providing care for animals in need seriously and compassionately. I recommend this clinic unequivocally, you won't find a better medical, compassionate staff, or more affordable vet clinic.

They have an app that makes scheduling appointments a breeze & have competitive pricing. It's about $30 for a nail trim. They treat your pets like family and have always taken very good care of my dog Nova.. she doesn't allow me to trim her nails at home so I always take her here & they always have her back out very quickly and I never hear her scream for them like she does with me! The only reason why they are not getting five complete stars is because at times the receptionist will prioritize the phone customers over the in store customers that are standing right in front of them.

just now New Beyond…read moredisappointed by the Orange Park location. My GSD has been diagnosed with Pannas. I was heartbroken and scared not knowing what the future holds....... The interaction started off well as originally my appointment was 5 weeks out. I was on a cancellation list. They called 2 separate times to move my appointment up which I was thrilled. I then received the new client paperwork via email. I noticed it said ..... Our lobby is currently closed in the Orange Park location to provide a safe & stress-free environment for our furry friends. When in reality they share a building with a dermatologist and they don't allow dogs in the building except in the back and exam room from what I was told. I can't say my response was the best as I did say....... Well that's Bullshit. You bring your dog to an eye specialist, you are supposed to keep your dog out of the bright light and we wait in our car or sit on a bench outside? I was taken back with the office answer that you have to just that. I said well it doesn't matter my dog needs to be seen so I'll be there. Well this is the kicker, I get an email stating.... We are writing this letter in regards to your relationship with our veterinary practice. We made accommodations for Cassie and prioritized her when we had a cancellation for Thursday understanding the urgency in her being seen. After your call back stating your disapproving views on our lobby policy, we have decided that you may find better accommodations at another facility. One of the most important criteria for the delivery of veterinary medical care from veterinarians and staff members at this facility is a polite, effective, comfortable, and open avenue for communication. Unfortunately, your interactions with our personnel today have made it impossible for the doctors and staff here to communicate with you in that fashion. As a result of this, we will be unable to provide medical care for your pet(s). Ideally, we recommend that Cassie see another ophthalmologist. There are ophthalmologists available in Gainesville that are highly recommended or we recommend searching ophthalmologists at the ACVO.org website. You may also continue care with your primary veterinarian. We wish you and Cassie nothing but the best. Kind Regards, Animal Eye Clinic Not even signed with a name!! I called apologizing for what they perceived but was stressed and didn't understand how a specialized eye dr makes their clients wait outside. I'm sharing this out of transparency. I took this as was blown out of proportion!! Then again maybe I dodged a red flag with 3 cancellations in just a couple hrs!?!? I pray no one at this clinic has a situation like the one I experienced with them

I was blown away from their personalbility. . We were skeptical at first , but after meeting the staff we were rest assured our Heidi was getting the ultimate treatment. I have been on the hunt for a vet for a while now. I wanted someone that took time with my dog,…read morethat was patient (I have a large dog that finds energy from the depths of his soul no matter how much we run or play prior to a vet visit and he can be a handful), that was transparent with pricing and didn't charge a ton. This place checked all the boxes. -They don't take appointments, it's walk-in only. This can be good or bad. When I came, there was a dog in front of me. The clinic is a single room in the back of TSC with no waiting area. I walked my dog around the building for about 20 minutes and the vet tech actually came out and found me when the other customer was finished instead of taking one of the two people who'd come in after me and were waiting by the door, which was really cool of her. I liked that when I was there, it was everyone there in the same room so I knew everything that was going on and there weren't any distractions besides my crazy dog himself. -At every single step, the "receptionist" (I'm not sure what to call her, she did all of the computer work) showed me my current price for me to approve (as I added prescriptions, flea meds, an ear check, etc.) so I didn't get blindsided by the price at the end. I spent a lot on prescriptions but for the wellness check, yearly vaccinations (including rabies), lab work for his ear infection (which the vet did right then and there) and his county license, I spent under $200. I looked up pricing for the flea medicine and prescriptions when I got home and they charged me exactly what I would've paid going through another vet pharmacy. -The vet described everything down for the shape of the bacteria that she was looking for under the microscope in order to correctly prescribe. She answered every question I had, from how much he should weigh, what food she recommended, etc, didn't rush me, etc. -My dog is almost 100 lbs and wanted nothing to do with having his ears checked but they were patient and worked together with him to get the culture and give him his shots. I wish I had them at my house while I try to administer the ear meds by myself, it's been a struggle lol. -I told them I'd last been to first coast no more homeless pets and that I hadn't had a great experience. It turns out the tech used to work there and understood exactly what I hadn't liked. It was a night and day difference with "bedside manner", as well. Customer service at FC was impersonal bordering rude and impossible to deal with over the phone. Everyone here was so friendly and efficient! I definitely have found my vet. This place is great. If you're looking for a place that does boarding and grooming (there IS a self service dog wash next to the clinic), this isn't it. But if you're looking for reliable, friendly vet care that you can just pop into any time, this is it! I'm really glad I took my dog there!
