Terrible experience! Dropped off my snow blower, home depot brand supposedly Chinese made Ariens, it was not starting due to ignition coil or cable but did have gas (removed the spark plug and tested).
First was told the blower is a piece of crap as it was chinese made, then was told the carburetor needs to be rebuilt and ignition coil replaced, total asking $265.00 on a $700 blower. Great scam artists. Then they close earlier than 5:00 pm on Saturdays so it took me 2 months to get my blower back with a lot of hassle about left over equipment. When I finally got it back there was a debate about repair estimate of $60.00. The shop owner explained as half hour of their time, which indicates their hourly rate is $120.00!!!! Since they work so many hours at least 3 people, I wonder if their corporate taxes foot to $700K???
Got the ignition coil from eBay, installed in total of 25 mins, runs like a charm. Total cost is $23.95.
