The campus is very large and we didn't have a clue where to go so we parked in the visitor's parking. Once we got parked someone walked up and said hello and introduced themselves and walked us up to the front. Everyone was very welcoming when we arrived. When we walked inside the auditorium it was full and it was hard to decide where to sit. We decided to sit towards the back. Love how there were so many ethnic groups there which was great! * The worship time was good. The band was fantastic and sounded spot on. (My wife and I are musicians as well). * To be honest and this is just OUR OPINION...... Everything (singers, musicians, pastors, and those who prayed) were very loud! After 15 minutes being there and I to put in my earplugs to keep from getting a headache/migraine. A few minutes after that my wife put hers in which she NEVER does. * During the prayer time pastors wife started speaking in tongues (which I'm not comfortable with). During the pastors message he also spoke a little in tongues. * Because of how loud things were I started getting nauseous and a little off so we decided to leave about 3/4 of the way through the pastors message. He had a lot of great points and information from Luke 22:31 * Even though we felt this church wasn't for us not to say it wouldn't be great for you! Like I said at the beginning; everyone was soooooo nice and welcoming and made us feel great. We just didn't like how loud the service was.

But when my father passed away, I was met with cold bureaucracy instead of genuine care. I left a message about holding his funeral service. The response? A voicemail saying they might be able to help if they had time--followed by a rental application. Everything came with a price tag: the space, the chairs, the audio equipment, the screens--even the pastor. In stark contrast, my brother's funeral--held at my former church in another state--was handled with true pastoral care. The pastor didn't hesitate. He gave a beautiful service, encouraged a slideshow to honor my brother's life, and offered the church space for the post-service gathering--all at no cost. When I later spoke with another local church and explained what had happened at Oasis, they immediately expressed sorrow, prayed with my mother and me, and said they'd be honored to help, membership or not. The way Oasis handled my father's death was not just disappointing--it was disgraceful. If this is how they respond to a grieving child, I can't imagine Jesus would approve. They complained about how difficult it would be and even suggested I consider going through a funeral home instead. All because my 96-year-old father, who couldn't see, hear and barely walk, wasn't known well enough by Pastor Marty. I will never return to this church. A church that can't show up when it matters most isn't serving Christ--it's serving itself. If your own church abandons you in your darkest hour, it's not a house of God--it's just a building with a logo.

Since the new Pastor Marty is there now, we decided to give it another try and been here for over a…read moreyear now and so happy to be part of a church where TRUTH is spoken and not twisted to fit agendas. May we always see black and white and not try to smudge it grey ending up luke warm.

We tried PCA and PCUSA churches locally and didn't find the perfect fit. Pastor Larry Kirk is a professor at Reformed Theological Seminary. Praise is led by Patrick Anderson who is getting his doctorate from University of Southern California (I think in guitar) but is from California and helped to lead praise at Grace Community Church (John MacArthur's church - Dispensational). Pastor Curtis Froisland came aboard 2015 and teaches from a Reformed theological perspective as well. CCC is affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America. I know, I was like what is that? It is a denomination that allows greater autonomy over doctrine and specific beliefs based on biblical interpretation to local EFCA churches. This church is predominantly Reformed in its theology. This church is part of Acts 29 and is dedicated to church planting rather than becoming a megachurch in itself. If you are hungering for a multi-ethnic intergenerational congregation that is passionate about community and sharing the word of God definitely come by to worship. You can also preview sermons on their website.
