Failure to do so will mean it will never change,EVER!!! Phone shops check, pound shops check, sub-standard cup of coffee check, feeble excuse for a market check and enough flammable shell suits to fill an Oxfam on a Tuesday night in Mani. About four years ago Littlewoods went out of business and left a huge empty 2 storey shop in the exchange centre. It is still empty now because of the stupid rates that the Centre owners try to charge people, the Market is dire because of the rates the Centre owners charge. Notice a theme here? The good folk of Rochdale keep being told that we will be soon getting a Debenhams, thanks for that,a shop everybody has had for the last 3 billion years, what's next, indoor toilets???? This is horrible, what started off as a true representation of my sorry excuse of a shopping centre has turned into me considering running in the Council elections. In a post apocalyiptical future when we are all slaves to our Cockroach Overlord Masters I hope to bring you a more favourable review of The Rochdale Exchange Sopping Centre. There are some pay and display car parks around the town centre and the bus station is not too far away from the centre of town. The outside of the River Island store is impressive, modern and attractive, the window displays are always fabulous and glitzy.fashion. On the insideimmaculate, sparkling, clean, bright, modern. The store is large and spacious and all on one level. Womens fashion at the front and mens fashion at the back.shoes in the middle! Plenty room for a sales section without the store becoming too cramped and the sales are worth a look. There are some seating areas near the shoes section and some toilets are available within the Market Place centre on the top level and within Debenhams, both accessible via lift or escalators. The clothing range in River Island is great as the store has a good size to accomodate many lines and the prices are reasonable.clothing is normally good quality. The changing rooms are a good size, clean and modern. The checkouts are central and normally well staffed. Staff are very helpful, very friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Their collection of classy office wear and evening wear is also delightful and my friend has informed me time and again how much she loves slipping into that perfectly stitched pencil skirt of hers. The store is quite airy and not too filled, free spaces always give the mind an illusion that there is room to relax and think. The great part would be the sale section at the back of the store where you can get lucky and find many dresses and blouses for mere £15-20. Always an extra something to make you swell up with content!

The changing rooms are quite small and i kept banging into the door as i was trying to peel off my skinny jeans! haha but that's me just being clumsy probably. There are two levels up top is nightwear, accessories and shoes and below is everything else. They have a good range of clothes and lots of them. The footwear section is comparitively quite large though I'm not a big fan of their shoes and think you get better design for the same price elsewhere. They tend to do nice jewellery which is really all I buy from here nowadays, people don't really notice if you're wearing the same bracelet as another girl. It tends to be more expensive than Topshop and it's poorer in the quality department. I also find it to be tacky too in design. The best bits about River Island are the jeans if you pay a bit extra for them, but then you start to think "hang on i'm chuffin forking out 60 quid for a pair of River Island jeans and I could have a pair of Levi's or summat ere" and so on and so forth as the prices escalate, this goes the same way for the shoes and the hand bags and such too. Plus you see that annoying trend where people of school age wear their River Island shopping bags as fashion accessories, which becomes an irritation for no apparent reason to do with the review itself it's just irksome. As I am an XY, I will be interested more in the upper floor of the shop, but sadly the girls department has more too offer (like most of the mainstream clothing shops). Some of the T-shirts are usually acceptable, but trousers don't do the trick for me. There are a few accessories in the mens departament, but they have a rather cheap feel. The Halifax store is only a tiny little shop but they always have a lot of stuff in so it's often quite cramped in there and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with a pram as you might find it a bit of a struggle! The one thing that I find really lets it down are the staff, I don't think gossiping amongst themselves while serving customers on the till is a very professional attitude to have when working in the retail industry, in fact I find it pretty rude.
