The changing rooms are bigger than most, there's no real restriction as to how many items you can take in and there's a nice comfy area to sit if you're waiting to see someone else model something. I've bought loads there recently and taken advantage of their 20% off deal - saved a small fortune! Their clothes are casual out-doorsy in the main, but they've introduced a kind of party range which is really nice and a bit different to all the usual stuff out at the moment. Highly recommended.

It's in a gorgeous timber framed building, with lots of books downstairs, and arts and crafts in a couple of rooms upstairs. The downstairs includes a children's area complete with a rocking horse for kids to play on. Upstairs is worth visiting to see the character full rooms, but you also get a nicely chosen range of art materials, plus some finished work for sale. Staff are lovely too. I last visited on a sunny day and they had the door and upstairs windows thrown open, letting in the light and breezes. Lovely.

Downstairs is womenswear and there is always something to buy as it is so cheap. They do nice ladies pyjamas and dressing gowns. Upstairs is menswear, childrens, babies and housewares. The duvet covers are nice and wash well and very cheap, there are some nice cushions for living room and bedroom and nice smelling candles. There is usually a queue at the tills but there is a lot of tills and staff and you can get served quickly but it takes ages on a Saturday.

The shop full of clothing and nik naks is fronted by a number of very cheerful ladies who appear to have overdosed (in a nice way) on happy pills. They are extremely helpful and polite, although they are also more than capable of talking a glass eye to sleep. Friendly banter is the norm in this shop and should be expected. All banter is given, and received, in very good taste and should not be taken personally. This shop itself is a bit of a let down though, with far too many items being packed onto shelves or into boxes on shelves that you can't get too because of overcrowding. The trinkets shelf is like a giant game of Kerplunk; a shelf best left alone if you are of a nervous disposition or suffer from a nervous twitch. All the charity shop norms can be found in here, in generally huge quantities, however the art is being able to pick out on item that isn't supporting the ceiling or finding one that hasn't been damaged due to being rammed on a shelf along with lots of other items. At the back of the shop is their clothing department, a veritable treasure trove of fancy dress items and 70's & 80's chic, and being on the outskirts of a military town there are all sorts of available military memorabilia. The trick here is finding enough time to be able to go through everything on offer before frustration sets in and you feel the need to throttle yourself with a stray dressing gown belt. The shop to the left is the book shop. This is the Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium of book shops. Considering its size it has everything you could possibly wish to find in a book shop and more. The internal layout is very clever, using lots of alcoves to maximise space, thus allowing a greater volume of book shelves and ultimately a greater volume of books, (which has to be the most important factor in any bookshop). All the alcoves hold their own particular sections, and provide small private viewing compartments for you to browse for and peruse through your favourite books. Anything you can't find can usually be produced by the assistant. The only thing this shop misses is a smile on the assistants face! For sheer volume of items, these 2 shops are probably the best in North Camp. For internal design, layout and ease of browsing the clothing and nik naks shop, unfortunately, rates very low. Top Shop in Princess Square has an upstairs and downstairs, joined together by an escalator…read more Upstairs is Topshop for ladies which is crammed with lots of up to date fashionable clothes as well as bags, jewellery and shoes. The shoe section has not got a lot of choice but what is avaliable is very catwalk style. Downstairs is Topman which is a little short of space but I suppose men dont need a lot of choice. There are some tasteful suits and shoes as well as cheap trainers. They usually have a sale section, greta for bargains!
