Situated on the main highway, as you head south from Otaki. Those of us who haven't passed through lately will remember it as the old Brown Sugar Cafe. House-like setting with seating inside or out, a large grassed area and kids play room with cute little teepees. A lit fire kept us warm and cosy. Standard counter food and blackboard menu.
