The service was outstanding, honestly. From Dave at the front desk, to our server Derek and bar…read moretender Cesar. The food and drinks were surprisingly exquisite. From the Brussels sprouts starter... wow probably the best we've had. The main entrees of lobster pasta and filet mignon that melted with every bite, and the crisp fresh vegetables on the side... holy Hannah! Even the damn cheese cake was phenomenal with its wild local blueberries.... We ate every bit of all of it. Then Cesar shocked us with some smoked old fashions that completely exceeded expectations... it is a baked Alaska for beverages. Even the next morning we had a voucher for breakfast...the spinach tomato quiche, made in house, was so damn delicious. We assume it's made by the same chef. We thought we were just headed to your average hotel restaurant, we were very wrong. The only thing that I would say we struggled with was the damn mattress. The most uncomfortable sleep we've had in a long while. We may not go back to sleep but we will absolutely go back for drinks and good eats! The entire staff is incredibly kind, helpful and pretty knowledgeable about the town and even the building.

Absolutely amazing!…read more Diane booked me over the phone and hooked us up very nicely. The price was exactly what she told me it would be and the service was exceptional. I want to give a special thanks to Dave & Ally at the front desk, as well as the lady at the cafe- I didn't catch her name! (I recommend the quiche and French toast) Everyone who works here is so personable and so kind. I also want to shout out Portneuf Grill. Lindsay, Caesar, and Dereck were amazing!!! It was Caesar's first night and he was on fire. The ribeye, potatoes & veggies were absolutely unreal and I got a Caesar salad with chicken and it was the best Caesar salad I've ever had in my entire life. The Brussel sprouts were a spiritual awakening. Corey was a great masseuse and the pools were so relaxing. Oh and room 305 is the best spot in the hotel. It was so charming and cozy and you have a perfect view of the creek out back and the mountains. It also provides a lot of privacy. 10/10 will stay here again, and I HIGHLY recommend anyone going to lava to stay here!

So far we've stayed in the Peacock, Teal, Latte and French Country rooms. Once, we came with my parents , and we shared the Lyon House across the street. Each time, we have loved our visit. The hospitality is fantastic-I always feel like I'm staying with a great aunt that loves to take care of her family. Really, it's that good. We have done the Dine and Unwind package, which includes a delicious dinner and a couples' massage. Best experience ever! If you're looking for a special getaway, be sure to consider this. The property itself has a lot of history-be sure to save some time to talk to Craig and Vicky about it's past. If you're looking to host an event, the upstairs area is perfect for that too!

A must do if you're staying in Lava Hot Springs! We usually…read morestay in hotels like Marriott and others but on this trip we chose to stay in a bed-and-breakfast. One of the best decisions I've made in a long time. It's set in an old church that's been renovated to have five rooms in the lower level, and we stayed in the King room. The first thing they said when we walked in was feel free to explore and make yourselves at home which we totally did. Vicki and her husband Craig were great and they took care of us even making us a nice breakfast in the morning before we headed out. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Great location in the heart of Lava Hot Springs on their Main Street…read more I really enjoyed their private hot spring pool for their guests and we utilized that the night we arrived. When we got to the private hot pool we were the only ones for about 45 minutes, then there were about 15 additional guests that showed up, but it still wasn't way packed. The room had the amenities we needed. The beds were not very comfortable and we all woke up feeling aches and pains instead of feeling well rested. I would recommend this place, just don't be surprised when the bed isn't that great. That's typical for a hotel. It also would have been nice if we had access to a laundry room so we could dry our suits and towels so we could have dry ones for the next day of going to the hot springs. Just a suggestion.

Unfortunately, the bottom floor room was filthy and the TV didn't work. We were finally moved to a different room hours later. The new room was not much better even though the TV worked. Clogged sink, blood drops on the sheets of one bed we and clogged shower. Staff was less than accommodating about the room change as though it was annoying to them. Didn't feel comfortable bringing anything else to attention. The so called pool they offer is basically located on another rental properties land. It's dirty and not what was advertised. Charging as much as they do for one night is absolutely absurd. I can only imagine what they consider a "spa"! Makes the town experience walkable and fun but it's Right next to the loud road and train. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The tour of the room by Autumn was awesome and added to the overall experience. The furniture, decorations and draperies were all spot on. The attention to detail like the rose on the mantel (from the Phantom, from anyone who hasn't seen Phantom of the Opera) the pitcher of ice water, a box fan tucked away in the corner, the Phantom of the Opera music playing, and DVD for viewing were all over the top details that made this stay worth every penny. The bed was great, as were the sheets and bedding. Then to plug devices in to charge there is a charging station next to the bed with I think 4 USB and 4 A/C plug ins to utilize. You can tell right away that these people care about their customers and do their best to make them happy. Then, the next day was a very nice breakfast consisting of bacon, sausage, eggs, hash browns, fresh cut fruit and creamy dipping sauce for the fruit, plus orange juice and hot chocolate (since we aren't coffee drinkers). It was delicious! We got a great rate by calling direct (better than the pricing that I saw online... but we stayed on a week night, so it may have been cheaper than a weekend stay. I have stayed in several bed and breakfast inns, and this one is the best that I have ever experienced! I highly recommend getting a room here if you are visiting Lava Hot Springs! Awesome!!!

We were driving down from Montana and got caught up in a storm so our check in time was going to be extremely late (midnight). Called the office and they were extremely accommodating. The room is secured by a keypad with a unique code given to you at check in which they gave me over the phone. The staff over the phone and in person the next day was very friendly. The room(#7) was the perfect touch of warmth and cozy feeling we needed after such a long drive. There is a pretty big mini fridge and microwave in the room. The TV is a smart TV and has dish network with several channel options. The room was very clean and decorated with cute alpaca pictures and alpaca rugs. The bathroom has a full size tub, full size 32 oz tresemme shampoo/conditioner, small hair dryer, full size pump of hand soap and lotion (see pic). The beds are extremely comfortable and they even give you extra pillows besides the ones on the bed. Inside the rooms the ac has been updated as well (see pic) and is remote controlled for easy on/off option. Each room has their own little coffee station with real mugs. Outside of each room is a small patio table and chairs for two, so you can sit and enjoy your coffee. If you prefer to stay inside to drink your coffee there is a nice comfy rocking chair. I will definitely be staying here in the future!

Just a little off the Main Street but still close enough to restaurants and bars. Close enough to walk to. Which was really nice and convenient when you're driving a big truck and you don't feel like pulling in and out of the crowded areas. Plus for us, on that part haha. The room is spacey and barn house feel but really cozy and warm. The ceilings are high so we didn't feel like we were crushed in a small room. The bathroom was spacious and I love that they advertise items for sale inside the room. The bed was comfy but I ended up on the couch lol because my son fell asleep in my spot on the bed next to my husband. We didn't even stay up for the count down. I did hear the fire works while I was dozing off into sleep. It was nice a quiet. The host was really cool and friendly. Got me checked in quickly and smoothly. Check out was also quick. I liked that they had a card and keyless entry door. That solves card problems if it doesn't work and the host is out, yeah! Been there done that. Not having to worry about where the card is or where I put it saves me so much stress. Believe me, I'm so distracted with other things that I'll end up leaving my key cards in the room! Lol! Anyway, don't take my word for it, staying here is recommend. We'll definitely be back.
