Yes, Thrifty Ice Cream is at this Rite Aid.  I don't live in these parts, so I'm all about the ice cream.

This is the Rite Aid along the main drag in Yucca Valley which takes you to Joshua Tree National Park. The area's towns are in what is considered the High Desert, or the Morongo Basin, and, yikes, it is the farthest thing from dense. I can't speak for its residents, though. I have not used the pharmacy here. I have shopped for a thing or two in the store and the employees seemed pleasant enough. I'd say that makes for a baseline 3, as most Rite Aid stores are capable of scoring. However, what gets me going, and what I also "sell" to anyone in the car, is their ice cream. I came to see that, in NorCal, Rite Aid stores often had Thrifty ice cream counters. Then, I learned that this store in SoCal, but practically on another planet from the bright lights of L.A., also had a Thrifty ice cream counter. Pull over! It's almost as if a bumper sticker needs to be affixed to the rear of the car that says "this car stops for Thrifty ice cream (at Rite Aid)." Just now, I sort of put the flowchart together. Thrifty may have been picked up by Payless Drug which was definitely picked up by Rite Aid. And, somewhere in the middle of all that, the hearty, down home ice cream formula and/or product remained. My parents used to bring home cartons of Thrifty ice cream from our neighborhood shopping center in the Southland back in the day. Again, the store comes off like a 3 to me. However, with the varied and tasty ice cream flavors, available in different scoop configurations and perched on different bases (cones, waffle cones, cups, etc.), I'm in seventh heaven. Hence, it's my sort of 4 ... for this store/pharmacy amidst joshua trees, tumbleweeds, (rattle)snakes and thangs, and on a major California state highway with lots of lanes and traffic lights for the fast moving traffic. Slow down! Don't miss out on the Thrifty ice cream.

This pharmacy is literally the most unprofessional pharmacy I have ever been too. There was a woman named rikki there who told me that they didn't have the prescription I brought in. I simply asked if she could see if the rite aid in 29 did. Because I didn't want to drive back and forth trying to find a place that carried my prescription. Which is reasonable.. She then told me that they couldn't see or do that. I challenged her and told her they have done it before because they have and it's the same system as they have told me before.. She then told me " Never-mind we do have the med". She told me they would have the prescription done by 7. I asked her if it could be done before because I had to get to the airport. She got visibly upset. On another note I want to point out there are two lanes. It doesn't say drop off or pickup and there was a long line so I went to lane 2. She told me that I needed to get back in line that this line was not a pick up. Put a freakin sign explaining which is pick up and which is drop off. I had to wait in line for over 30 min. I cannot begin to describe to you how uncomfortable, annoying and not to mention your pharmacists don't know what they are doing. Please improve. I've included a picture of the worker so that you can properly handle it

Excellent service in the pharmacy from Deanna. She's the only one I want to talk to when I go there.

Can we pleaseeeee pleaseee pleaseeeeeeeeee either get TONY some help, move him to graveyard shift…read morewhere there is less foot traffic or simply just FIRE HIM !!!!! He neverrrrrr wants to do his job !!!! He claims he's always soooooo busyyy. And it's not even the first time!! It's literally an issue with him every week! I just never have time to complain but this time he pushed my buttons. So here I am now and for the looks of all the reviews I'm not the only one. He claims he can't make pizza because he has no help and the store is busy but it's literally just me !!! There could be no cars in the parking lot and he will still refuse to make pizza. I even try to make the guys job easier by placing orders online and he will flat out cancel the orders. I drive to the store and place online orders for whatever promotion 7/11 is running that day in their EMPTY PARKING LOT and he will still cancel it saying he's too busy to get my items together. So there I go grabbing my OWN ITEMS so the poor little hard working man that TONY is can take it easy. Just for me to get to the register and just for him to CANCEL it AGAINNN!!!! When I ask him why do you cancel it he just says he's too busy to Scan all my ITEMS One by One he says. Like I swear I can't make this stuff up. Then he just straight up refuses to ring anything up for me and asks "Where do you work so I can go be annoying and bother you to." I told him I'm across the street and he's more than welcome to come anytimeeeee because that's what I get PAID to do !!!! And he just laughs and says "yeah right" Like dude we are all not as lazy and rude like you. If you don't like your job just quit !! And don't work in customer service if you really hate people that much. If this 7/11 won't correct their employee I will just go to corporate because TONY is just flat out refusing to provide anything that 7/11 promotes from pizzas and hot foods, to any promotions they advertise, or even placing orders online. This is just straight up FALSE ADVERTISEMENT and I'm sure they won't be happy to hear a franchisee of theirs isn't providing the service they offer. SET TONY STRAIGHT!!! I know I'm not the only one with these issues from TONY!!!
