I Was experiencing severe side effects on a medication that Dr.Kammiel prescribed me. I called my primary doctor who told me to reach out to the prescribing doctor. I Called Dr.Kammiel on a Sunday to address these side effects because they were really concerning. I wasn't sure if I should go to the emergency room or if she could help me. I didn't even finish expressing all my issues and she cut me off saying I should call during the week. Like I have control over chest pains, lightheadedness and dizziness ETC?!?! I was told I should have called during the week instead of on a Sunday...I was an inconvenience for her. She made that very clear numerous times. She does not care about her patients AT ALL. Sadly, Dr Kammiel was the psychiatrist I chose after Dr Srisai. They are both of Indian descent and both equally horrible psychiatrists. Neither have the demeanor for this field, and Dr Kammiel is too old and her office is antiquated in their business practices. She has a poster in her office from 1990 "this is your brain, this is your brain on marijuana" ....you remember the scare adds about marijuana on tv w/ the frying pan? I guarantee Dr K hasn't been to a psychiatrist refresher coarse, ever. As she proved to me time and again she couldn't be bothered to read my chart, therefore RX'ing medication that wasn't comparable to my diagnosis of ADHD. It was medicine for depression and I gained 80lbs in 3 months. After begging her to put me on the medicine that works for me, and staying on current milligrams for two years, she too is making me feel like a drug addict when I asked her to up my milligram. When I explained why I needed it, she still argued with me. I'm on 10 milligrams of adderall twice a day, I asked for 30, you would've thought I asked for her first born child's life. Why is it a patient, who are good and don't abuse medicines, made to feel guilty by asking for higher milligrams? This particular Dr. should retire, especially if she's out of touch w/ current medical practices, and believe me Dr Kammiel is totally out of touch. RETIRE OLD LADY! read more
