Something about their pride and enthusiasm made me curious, so I decided to check it out the same evening. I'm so glad I did. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place is a hidden gem. The menu is varied and very reasonably priced, offering something for everyone. The food was not only delicious but served in generous portions, and the drinks were just as impressive, well-crafted and flavorful. What truly sets the Water View Inn apart, though, is the atmosphere and hospitality. The owners were warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to have guests, which created a relaxed and inviting vibe throughout the evening. Add to that an absolutely stunning sunset view, and it made for a truly memorable experience. The property offers so much more than just a great meal. They have charming cottages available to rent, a private party room, and a spacious outdoor deck with heaters, perfect for unwinding, enjoying the view, and even relaxing with a cigar. It was a perfect evening from start to finish, and I will absolutely be returning. Highly recommend if you're looking for great food, friendly people, and an unforgettable view.

Southern Maryland adventures! This winery is about an hour from my house without traffic, and I was…read morevery excited to give it a try -- a goal of mine is to hit as many wineries in PG & Calvert as possible. I was excited once I arrived at the entrance, but was shocked it was another mile and some before actually getting to the tasting room LOL! There were speed bumps, reception was near zero, and parts of the road were heavily covered with trees making it dark... whoa! I finally arrived at the main part though, and finding parking was easy. I passed by a cool looking outdoor tasting room (that currently isn't open) and the vineyards. From the general parking lot, it's a bit of a hike to get to the main building haha. I walked through what looked like a wedding setup, but what really stole the show was the tunnel... you could see real grapes growing in there and it just felt so classy! The building itself was surrounded by tons of outdoor seating, mostly shaded. It was a pretty hot day, so indoor seemed like the move. When I went inside, I must say I was obsessed with the chandelier... and there was live music! I was the first to arrive, so I didn't order any wine yet, but I saw there were a few options... 9, if I recall, including sangria and two slushies. I only ended up trying the semi-sweet red and white... which were actually quite sweet, haha. If those were semi-sweet, I can't help but wonder what the sweet ones are like. The weakest (ABV) wine was 13%, and the others just went up from there... that's up there! Aside from the sweetness, the semi-sweets tasted fine -- I wouldn't consider them refreshing though. Next time I need to try their dry wines next time. Too bad you can't just taste! As for food, they have a food truck outside -- Hungry Hare. the item is already limited, but they were also out of wings and fries. So it was either going to be a hot dog, quesadilla or fancy grilled cheese. We had food plans after, so I opted for a hot dog... but for $5 it's literally just the dog and the bun... that's pricey, isn't it?? It was piping hot and tasty though... but yeah, really expensive. The grilled cheeses were $16 and up and came with no sides. But anyways, the vineyard was beautiful and I would return to try more!

I would go so far as to say they're the best crab balls I've ever had. (Have you ever had a crab cake where it was mostly cake filler and they skimp on the crab?) These were crammed with crab meat. When the crab balls were picked up, they were carefully packaged in a nice catering box with styrofoam and the instructions written on the top of the pan "Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes" was so helpful! She also included tongs for the crab and 2 generous containers of cocktail sauce with spoons. These attention to details meant a lot! I wouldn't have even thought to serve the crab with anything else. We're so incredibly pleased we chose Quality Street! A side note, Jen was very communicative via email and the price quoted was exactly what we were charged the day of pick up. Thank you, Jen and Quality Street!! We will definitely use them again for our next catered event.

They were easy to work with, very professional and friendly, and was able to advise on how to manage some of the guests dietary needs. Fantastic! We didn't get a chance to try the hors d'ouvres and charcuterie display, but heard amazing reviews to no surprise. Thank you, Michael and Team!

A full service group, and a value that can't be beat!…read more We worked with Canards for catering and event design and execution for our wedding of ~175 guests, and we were incredibly impressed with the results! Lisa and her team are very creative and detail-oriented, and you essentially get a free event designer (as well as coordinator) included in your catering costs, it is a value that cannot be beat! They were responsive to the needs and ideas that were unique to our event and helped turn our thinking into a real vision - and then they executed it! Guests were impressed with the food and the cocktails! The executive chef is very talented and the menu was creative; Canards listened to the food styles we were interested in and suggested items that would add some special elements and elevate the menu. They are so flexible and the sky is the limit, and everything is plated in a beautiful way. Really can't go wrong with food from Canards. Canards is very fairly priced and the team looks for ways to save you a buck where possible. They coordinate rentals and other vendors for no additional fees. They designed a linen/décor/tablescape plan that was super unique and then handled rentals and set up, and the results really were stunning. They suggested a decorative scheme for our ceremony space and handled it directly, creating a floral backdrop. They ordered bulk florals/décor which they turned into simple but beautiful centerpieces, which saved us a pretty penny. They helped us do a "welcome" greeting before the ceremony and cocktail hour without inflating the price. It really does result in the best value that you can find for wedding catering, really impressive what they can do for each event. The vendors and service staff they work with are extremely professional. Service was excellent throughout dinner and the rest of the event. The contract, tasting, and event planning process was very easy. In the end: highly recommend - incredible value and attention to detail!
