I set up an appointment for extraction and they wanted tondo a root canal on one tooth the other…read moreextraction. The extraction the dentist wasn't comfortable with removing my small rear tooth cuz it was too small and he didnt feel comfortable doing the extraction so they referred me to another dentist from another place to do it, I never scheduled that because I did t want to deal 2 different dentist over an extraction. They pushed hard for this root canal when I said extraction for that tooth also. They set me up n said they can save it but it might cost something. I was avoiding the cost of root canal but they wanted money & were very pushing. The root canal was at 1030am and I had some very important come up i could not miss, they didnt care to reschedule me at the later time but instead wanted to emphasize on charging me 50 bucks for not canceling 24hrs prior, I was rescheduling for same day I just wanted a later time. The rep over the phone was rude , and was not helping at all more just money hungry like she was trained for it. This place is horrible, im glad I didnt get no work done here , or the other referred place for extraction. This place needs more training in customer service, and more training being dentist! I would never refer anyone here to this place, they are very unprofessional and inexperienced in extraction obviously for them to transfer me somewhere for it, never been to a dentist who couldn't take care of a problem them self. I would never trust a dentist from there , just from the 20 min visit I had with the physicians.

It had been bothering me quite a bit, but Dr. Sadowski took such great care of me! We decided to place composite in the affected area to help prevent future staining, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I'm truly impressed with how everything turned out--such a noticeable difference. Highly recommend--one very happy patient!

Biltmore Commons has asked me to leave a review. I cannot in good faith say anything nice about…read morethis place. I am new to the area and was recommended to this practice. My old practice was a single dentist, a few dental assistants and a receptionist. You spend your entire visit with the dentist and he provides you an honest summary of your visit. The total visit is under a half hour. Biltmore Commons has 6 Dentists and at least that many dental hygienist and more dental assistants and receptionists. You spend the majority of your visit with your hygienist and about 2 minutes with the dentist. Because there is so much overhead you get a Spirit Airlines experience where you are constantly getting upsold nonsense. The hygienists are more like used car salesmen than people who clean your teeth. I have been to this place twice and they have tried selling me laser treatment ($100) night guards ($800), Invisilign, a Waterpick ($120), an additional cleaning, and they were going to try to sell me an electric toothbrush if I didn't already have one. The hygienists don't give up the entire visit until you say yes to something. The dentist never says you need any of these things. I never went through with any of these scams. And I will not be going to Biltmore Commons ever again. My first visit was 2 hours (with x-rays) and my second was almost an hour (without x-rays). I have a life and my time is not valued. My recommendation is to find a dentist with less overhead where they can pay for their practice with just regular dental work and not ancillary products.

The price was actually average but the dental work and followup were extremely problematic. The following is my email regarding the problems following my temporary crowns. I later discovered the website email address was not operational. Message to Dr. Rao, I left a message this morning (Saturday October 21) regarding my discomfort and problem with my temporary crowns. I assumed you would have an emergency number to reach you even though your office is closed. (It's very unusual for a medical/dental professional to have no after hours contact information). I had my temporary crowns done on October 11 and paid for them and the permanent crowns in advance as you requested. This has not been my usual payment experience. I returned on October 18 to have the temporary crowns smoothed as my tongue was irritated and had developed ulcers from the rough texture. Your assistant did most of the work. I started to explain to you how my bite was now off and my mouth felt out of alignment. You didn't appear to be concerned and no effort was made to rectify this situation. Observing my bite, it's apparent that the temporary crowns on the lower right side are higher, wider and unevenly matched to the bottom teeth on the left side. I have researched and discovered that temporary crowns should be adjusted so that the patient's bite is comfortable or if necessary, redone. I haven't been able to eat solid food for the past 10 days and my tongue is still irritated by the rough texture of the crowns. I'm very concerned that my permanent crowns will also be a poor fit. I need to have the temporary crowns adjusted to be the same height and similar width as the teeth on the other side of my mouth so that I am able to chew comfortably. I am unable to chew properly on the left side since I am missing a top tooth. My permanent crowns appointment isn't till November 8. I would appreciate having this dental problem corrected as soon as possible. Dr. Rao responded on Monday to the phone message I left on Saturday concerning my distress. He was apologetic and had me return again for another adjustment. He works on several patients at the same time and at one point needed to be reminded what we were working on. The permanent crowns were finally applied and the numbing needle was incredibly painful. My lips were horribly swollen for days as the extreme numbing lasted for hours and made me unaware that I was chewing on my lips, when eating. Finally the crowns were done and I was able to chew comfortably. The next problem was reimbursement from my Medicare insurance. Dr. Rao had said initially that as a courtesy he would fill out the paperwork. He sent a pre-approval but neglected to follow up with a completed and signed itemized bill. It's been almost 3 months and after hours of conversations with United Healthcare, I received a statement showing a $1000 reimbursement allowed. The paperwork included a signature required by the dentist and his filling out a form. I emailed the paperwork to his office and I spoke with his office representative Anna, who advised me not to pursue the payment because that would delay my getting reimbursement (?) She advised me to wait a few more weeks and said Dr. Rao was informed about this situation. I've had a lot of dental work done by different dentists over the years but this has been an unusually frustrating experience.
