A few months ago, my family and I rented a waterslide and jumping castle through ANOTHER company…read more Though they were good, it literally cost us an arm and a leg. We decided we wanted to do something big for Easter Sunday so we wanted another waterslide. Because of the price, we chose not to get the jumping castle. As luck would have it, we ran into Eugene, the owner and operator of 808 Jumpers. We asked him what his normal price is for a waterslide. Amazingly, it was less than half from what we were being charged with the other company. Since we now were saving money, we figured we ask how much more it would be to tack on a jumping castle. Even with the jumping castle, we were still going to save a ton of money. Needless to say, we cancelled with the other company and booked with 808 Jumpers. On the day of our get together, Eugene and Chad from 808 Jumpers came to set up early. They asked us where we'd want both jumpers. They had everything up and inflated in no time flat. What surprised us is how Eugene went around with a rag and scrubbed every inch to make sure we got the jumpers in pristine condition. We even told him not to worry about it but he insisted. With the OTHER company, we had to provide the water hose for the waterslide. With 808 Jumpers, they supplied it, which was an added plus. One aspect that I really liked was the generator. With other companies, the generators used are overly noisy. The generator that 808 Jumpers used wasn't silent, but it was a whole lot quiter than the others we're used to. Our entire family; kids, adults, and every age in between had a ball. The waterslide had a slope with was a nice change from going "straight down" like on other slides. The ladder to the left was easy to get up; not where you could slip down and possibly hurt those behind you. At the bottom was a small pool that the kids used for lounging. The waterslide pool was big enough for both loungers to have room to relax while giving sliders enough room to slide without having to worry about kicking someone on the way down. Also, the pool is deep enough to splash around in and give you a safe landing but not deep where someone could possibly drown. The jumping castle was also great. It was very easy for everyone to get into but still protected the little children from falling out. Both were perfect for us. At the end of the day, when the guys from 808 Jumpers came to get the slide, they didn't just ask us if we had fun, but they asked for suggestions on how they'd be able to better themselves as a company by giving the customer a better experience. I was so impressed when they asked. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND 808 JUMPERS. They're a rather new company but their professionalism makes it seem they've been around forever. If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. At the end of the day, after everything was packed up, we were already looking at when we'd do our next family event. Best believe, whenever it is, 808 Jumpers will be right there with us. Thanks guys!

Do not use Island Rents!!!!…read more Rachael the owner, is a basket case. Where do I even begin. I went to Maui to meet with vendors. I had already signed a credit card authorization form/agreement with Island Rents as this what they required in order for them to do a walk through of my wedding venue. Not a problem at all, I signed up and had been working with them for months on the rental details. I had an appointment for Island Rents to do a walk through on September 29th. Come September 29th, Rachael no shows to the walk through. I call her after to see what happened and she totally throws her assistant Darci under the bus and says Darci never told her about the appointment. I ask if I could come in right now as my time was limited on the island and I needed to meet with her before I left. I went to her warehouse and spent almost 2 hours going through the rentals, picking out colors etc. She seemed scattered the entire time as she lost my order form while I was there and had to rewrite my entire order from scratch. I was told I would receive a revised quote in a couple of days, no word. I email to check in, I am told she will get back to me soon. No response, I email again. Finally, I receive an email stating Island Rents won't be able to do the job for me. I guess my 2 strings of bistro lighting needs were too much for them. Long story short, not only did Rachael waste my time, flake on an appointment, hardly responded, made me sign an agreement and flaked out, bailed on me when she knew I didn't live on the island and that I couldn't meet with another rental place but she was a total spaz. I would not recommend Island Rents as they are undependable and flaky. Thank god I found all this out now instead of on my wedding day.
