Mofongo con pollo, trifongo, & arroz y habichuelas
Allison A.

This food truck was highly recommended to us by a taxi driver as well as ChatGPT. It wasn't terrible but not the best mofongo con pollo I've had in Puerto Rico. Probably the best food we had on the island (we were only there two days) so definitely worth a visit when on Vieques. We were really the only people there for an early dinner -- food took pretty long to come out but staff was helpful with a language barrier. It's cute outside on picnic tables with chickens and cats running around, I think more food trucks are typically open around the area but weren't when we were there. That might make the experience more fun and lively. I would overall recommend!

Cajita feliz grande or Xl don't remember

Food was amazing, customer service meh, I felt like I was a problem for ordering food, there was no rush and only 1 person ahead of me

What a great beach day! Before getting on our ferry back to San Juan we wanted to grab a bite to eat and this place was calling our name. Honestly after being in PR I realized I am not a mofongo fan. I'm not sure what it was, but this just wasn't good. It was a bit stale like it had been sitting there for a while. The pork chops though.. yummy! The pricing was a bit up there but probably because they know a bunch of tourists cone through there so why not take advantage. It's a cute spot with outdoor seating in front of the food truck. They had a piña colada spot right across but it was all non alcoholic lol which at that moment was disappointing

Best mofango so far during our trip. Super disappointed at the service, the food took 45 minutes to come out. We were not acknowledged at the window until the woman was able to give us 100% of her attention. The menu has both English and Spanish but we realized there are hidden costs. We asked to swap out the pork with shrimp but were not told of the fee to do so. Moreover, the extra shrimp was not provided. We ordered one pina colada, went to grab it but were offered two pina coladas. We let them know we only ordered one and she just handed us two. When we went back to pick up our solid food, the lady was like "you only ordered one pina colada, why'd you take two?, it's $6 more dollars". Very confusing...seemed like an opportunity to make more money. I got the fish sandwich which comes in flattened plaintains as the bread with the choice of fries, sweet plaintains or fried plaintains. I didn't understand the options at first and ended up getting sweet plaintains. It was just too much plaintains going on. The fish can also be served on tortillas as tacos which I would have preferred. Prices are way too high, felt like I was in Hawaii or New York. $50 for two entrees made from local ingredients seemed a bit steep. There's plenty of seating! Rincon del Sabor is located in the Northern area of the island.

We tried this place based on the recommendations from multiple locals as well as seeing it on YouTube videos prior to our trip. I got the Carne Frita with Trifongo. The Trifongo is worth all the hype it is given, truly mind blowing. It is well seasoned and the mix makes for an awesome texture.

Service was slow but that seems normal in PR . The food was fresh but nothing special ; to locals this was the place to go. Overall it's good for the tostone sandwich and environment; not I was not a fan of mamposteao which didn't seem to have any Maduro or meat but it surly had cabbage

Very good authentic food! There's plenty of seating. The worker explained many of the dishes and answered any questions we had. The food takes a little while to come out so come with time. There's cats and chickens roaming the property.

It was a little slow, but worth the wait for our first meal on Vieques Island. We would go back.

We loved the setup. The mofongo and trifungo were fantastic! Friendly service too. Our family ate here a couple times on our trip.

Was not impressed with the fried fish with rice and beans. No alcoholic beverages, just Virgin pina coladas as well, a little pricey.

Food truck off the main road. Authentic and tasty Puerto Rican cuisine. They were kind and informative which helps as a tourist on Vieques.

Great place by the water to grab lunch or dinner!…read more We came for lunch and tried the empanadas. The vegetarian one was our favorite, and had great flavors! The ginger limeade was also very tasty, and we grabbed a bottle of it on our way out to enjoy the rest of the day! They even gave use cups of ice and lids/straws for the road, very helpful. Nice and laid back place, you order at the counter and then they bring out the food. No rush, nice to sit and relax and enjoy the view!

So, I say all this to say - make sure to make a reservation if you'd like to avoid a long wait &/or disappointment with there not being a table available. We were extremely lucky to have gotten a table with a relatively short wait on a busy evening. Likely because it was within the last hour of the restaurant's opening!! Now - on to the best part... the FOOD! The creamy pumpkin soup with an arepa was really delicious!!! Full of flavour, prepared with passion and love and I would definitely go back for more! For our mains, my sister and I decided to both have the seasonal fresh caught fish with Puerto Rican yellow rice - YUMMMM! My only regret is that the fish was not big enough... I would have loved MORE! Overall this was a great dining experience.
