With plenty of spacious seating on the patio and tucked away in little corners of the garden we found a lovely little table for 3 in the sunshine. For winter months they have 2 main buildings and 2 out-houses which are very pretty and well decorated inside. Post-birthday night out I was a little worse for wear and ready for a full English and a good cup of tea unfortunately the breakfast cut off point is at 11.30 however I wasn't too disappointed as the rest of the menu left plenty of tantalizing options for me to choose from! The waitress came over to take our orders and helped me choose between 2 dishes that I was torn over. The drinks service was a little slow but the food was timey and the presentation on all the dishes was amazing! My Dad opted for a seafood platter, which came with smoked salmon, crayfish, cockles, mackerel and crab slaw all served with sourdough bread, hollandaise and aioli sauces - seafood heaven! My Mum went for the lamb and goats cheese burger that was divine! The lamb was cooked to perfection with it being pink in the middle and served with a yummy mint yogurt dip and sun-dried tomatoes. I was stuck between the club sandwich and BBQ pulled pork open sandwich. On recommendation I went for the pork, which was served, on sourdough toast with melted Monterey cheese - heaven! I was having food-envy looking at the lamb burger but was not in anyway disappointed with my pork. Finishing off our meal with the Parlour's specialty - ice creams all round! I have a new found love for the homemade lemon meringue cone... There is so many flavours including apple pie and the originals too - its an ice cream lovers heaven! Our leisurely lunch here was fab and they are also promoting the "Super Club" on the 18th of July that is a diner's paradise! With three courses plus their homemade ice cream at £25 a head it doesn't break the bank either. This place was definitely worth the 20-minute drive and I will be back to try their dinner menu!

A really well done place, with layout and set up. Sometimes tea shops along the high way have a whole room full of junk they are trying to sell to you and then cramped sitting. But not here I think I saw a few cute things for sale but mostly they were focused on their food and I was told famous ice cream! Well done for keeping the place about whats most important... the food! Friendly service and tasty treats. It was a bit slow because they were super packed and under staff. The waiter apologised for the wait and said someone had called in ill! I can only rate it on the cake and coffee because I didn't eat anything there but I imagine it would be good .

When we saw the finished ornaments, we were very happy with the penmanship and the prints and left happy. Once we got home and had a closer inspection though, we noticed that the upper front edge didn't have glaze on, so there's a dull patch about a finger wide. Won't really be noticeable on the tree, and we like everything else about it! Pretty sure that she would offer to redo it if we asked, but we are visiting from Los Angeles and I don't think it would have been ready in time. We didn't have any food but the Americano coffees and teas were very nice! Overall though, still pretty pleased with our unique hand / foot painted ornament and would recommend.

Both they and the ploughman's were so good that we ended up eating lunch here as well. And while the soup, salad, and sandwiches we had for lunch weren't quite up to the same level they were still mighty tasty. My only nit (and it is a small one) is that though the coffee was reasonably tasty the sharp contrast between my smallish cup of joe and my wife's enormous pot of tea was more than a little dispiriting.

They all took a good 20-25 minutes to arrive which was idea for us as we followed our cocktails with a bottle of prosecco. On arrival we tucked in - my favourites being the hummus and the meatballs which came in a creamy tomato sauce topped with parmesan shavings. The garlic potatoes were also great however thankful I wasn't doing much the next day as my dad told me the garlic smell followed me around the next day... The only downside to our meal was being told the next covers had arrived so we needed to make a move. This was even before our plates had been cleared away and although I was told whilst booking over the phone I would have thought that we were allowed slightly longer given the fact we were in fact also seated slightly late. Nevertheless the meal was tasty and the wine was good no doubt I will be back next time I am visiting Newcastle!

Their chips (fries) are to die for! Thick cut and perfectly salted....seriously, you're crazy if you add more salt and you're crazy if you say there's too much salt on them......perrrrfffeeecccttt. Their hot drinks are lovely! Only ever tired their mocha but it didn't need any sweetening and that's a plus for me any day. Their desserts/cakes are delicccciiiouuuussss. And they're quite unique haha. American Peanut Butter cake, Oreo Delight, etc but you still got the classics like Lemon Meringue and raspberry tarts. Their paninis are ON POINT. Get their pesto and mozzarella panini, very yummy. They also have small or large English breakfast (both regular and veggie). The best part? I haven't had anything at this cafe that was over £5. A filling panini with chips and coleslaw is £4.50. The mocha and hot drinks are £2.20 and under. I've heard their milkshakes are delicious and they're only £2. You can do the Afternoon Tea deal (any cake with your choice of any tea or coffee) for £4. Staff is extremely friendly, kind, and interactive.
