The burrata, fig, and micro greens salad was delicious. I added on scallops, and it was great. The dressing is sickly sweet, however, so best to get on the side and drizzle on to taste, unless you are the person who likes loads of sugar. My server was also terrific. Crab pretzel appetizer is the best way to begin! Delicious! The fish tacos were amazing. Mahi Mahi makes the difference. I would never have tried apple butter with sweet potato fries, but that was the best part of my plate:) I can't wait to go back and try the burgers- Havanna and Land and Sea. The customer service is amazing! The chef and owner really want to create good food that makes people happy. They came to our table several times to see how our meal was. Really nice environment. My wife and I ate here on our way to the beach. We were looking for an interesting place just off I 70 and I 81. We had read other Yelp reviews, and decided to stop there for dinner. As per other reviews, the strip mall that it is located in is not where you would expect to find such a great restaurant. Once inside, we found the decor relaxed and fun. The food was exceptional and prices very reasonable. I had the "Cafe Seafood Broil" which is a combination of a crab cake, shrimp and scallops. All were excellent. The service was friendly and attentive. They have a great bar with a number of excellent beers on tap. Our waiter picked out an IPA that I loved. If you have room, order dessert. We ordered a wonderful dessert with cheesecake, which was covered in a tortilla, then lightly fried and roiled in cinnamon sugar. It was served with ice cream and whipped cream. Absolutely fantastic! We got to meet the head chef and owner, who were very relaxed and friendly. We will definitely stop here again, when we're traveling through the area. read more

If you are tired of your big chain restaurants and you want to try something new then put this "hole in the wall" on the top of your to-do list next time you are in Hagerstown. We visited this place based solely on the reviews and Internet ratings and we are so glad we did! No place is perfect but the food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the environment was relaxing with its own version of elegance. My wife and I got the dip of the day for our app, some of the homemade chips were slightly over cooked but the app overall was tasty. I ordered the lamb burger with the amazing sweet potato fries and my wife ordered the Chipotle chicken pasta. We were pleased with the quality of our food and we will definitely be back! I gave this place a four star because some places to sit had a table next to them that was higher thus people staring as you eat can be a little uncomfortable and when we first walked in the hostess had to finish texting before greeting us. read more

Everyone at my table was pleased with their meals. From Fish tacos to pasta. I had the havanna burger which is Angus, ham, and pulled pork with pickles and mustard. It was excellent. The sweet potato fries with apple butter was on point. The deserts all looks really good (as they have desert tray), I went with the fried cheescake with ice cream and it was delicious. Overall, a solid food establishment with a decent selection of beers and the bar area that looked nice as well, although I had a sit down dinner. If there was one critique, I'd say that I would like to see a bit more creativity on the menu, but that's just nitpicking. read more

Visiting folks this week and Rik's was a joint pick to try tonight. Staff was great, places wasn't big, had a bar, corking fee was $25 and the service was great. Didn't get the server's name, but he was from Texas. Super nice and really attentive (not overly though) The caesar salad was great and only $6. Add a protein and it's a great meal. Had the braised short ribs with parmesan risotto and it was really good...could have used a smidge more gravy. The asparagus was cooked just right! Dad ordered the broiled seafood and said it was cooked perfectly... and Mom ordered the Chesapeake Chicken which was good, but once she tasted mine, wished she order the short ribs. Next time, I'm ordering the Mahi tacos or the steak (the table next to us ordered the special.... NY strip and said it was great also. Last note......the margaritas were quite strong (which I liked) and the wine list had a descent variety. read more

I took my mom here for her birthday given the great reviews on Yelp. She and I both said that this is one nicest lunches that we've had in years. The food was absolutely phenomenal and our server was the nicest man who made it a fabulous experience. We shared three dishes which were wonderful... I like the unexpected elegance of this restaurant. Although it is located in an unassuming strip mall, the ambiance inside is intimate and very comfortable. We stopped here for dinner on our way back from skiing at Whitetail. We had the Drunken mussels appetizer, broiled seafood entree, beet & blueberry salad with steak, and Oreo cake. Everything was absolutely fabulous. The entire restaurant runs very efficiently and our server (4904 pony boy according to the receipt) provided great service. Rick's never disappoints. Great food and service the wait can be a little long during peak times but well worth it.

I don't go here often. First time a couple years ago it was good. Last time I was here was for lunch about 3 months ago and ordered the tuna tartare appetizer. The tuna had a brown hue and a slimy glaze over it. I thought it was prepared that way but I took one bite and immediately knew it was spoiled. I sent it back. I probably should have left at this moment but figured I'd give them a chance to redeem themselves with the crab cake sandwich I ordered. Needless to say it was a little better than the tuna dish in that it was not spoiled. Nice thought to use a croissant but the whole thing fell apart at the first bite. My husband and I have visited Rik's several times. Each time we are pleasantly surprised. Looking at the restaurant from the parking lot is deceiving (not attractive at all). Once inside though it is welcoming with pleasant decor. We have ordered different items each visit and have never been disappointed. When you walk in, it is a very nicely decorated restaurant- casual and inviting. We brought the kids and sat at a booth. Service was fast and friendly and the owner was also around to all the tables and very friendly. The food was amazing. I cannot tell you the last time I ate everything on my plate and I was practically licking the plate clean! I had the special which included tuna and a steak with a wonderful Asian glaze, bok choy, and wasabi risotto. The steak was so perfectly cooked, I had tears in my eyes.
