I scheduled a pickup for 2 PM on a Friday. I arrived at around 1:50 and the front door was locked. I knocked on the front door and no one came after about 5 minutes I figured I would log onto the app and start the pickup process through the app thinking someone would be in the office at 2 PM since that was my appointment time. After I uploaded my DL, I got a message on the app to call U-Haul because the app could not check me in. I called the number provided to me in the message on the app and the customer service rep asked me why I was calling. I told her I was at Greenfill Lone Star Self Storage LLC to pick up the trailer but the front door was locked and I was told through the app to call this number after I uploaded my ID. She was very nice and said that she would see if she could see why no one was there since it was now 2:10 PM. At about 2:15 I could see through the window someone walking in the back door and the customer service rep at U-Haul told me she found someone to help me in the office and they would be right there. The lady opens the door and immediately tells me I did not have to call U-haul that I should have call the number on the door, never saying I'm sorry she was late, no remorse at all for making me wait. I told her that my appointment was for 2 PM it was now 2:15 and now I will probably be late to my appointment. The second employee told me that I had better cut the attitude that she has the right to refuse business anyone she want to, I said, you are late and have an bad attitude that I called U-haul, but I am the customer and should not have to call anyone, you should have been in the office at 2, I said just get me my trailer so I can get out of here. She told the older lady she was not going to give me the trailer and told me to leave. Do not do business with this company, they are rude, do not appreciate their customers and even when they are in the wrong will gas light you trying to turn it around that I was the issue. This place is very dirty and they park the trailers in a overgrown field. All I can say is stay away and go to another place.

When you pay on the unit it takes a few days to get someone to unlock the unit. The Customer Service staff are nice, but the rules and remote communication options are poor customer service. No matter how the customer who is paying for a service communicates with them, they Do Not adhere to compromise arrangement. Attractive promotions to get to the facility, but they "kidnap" and hold "hostage" your items, for being 5 days late. I never posted about the illegal lock out and power drilling of my lock either. I have photos. I could've filed a claim, but I didn't.

All of the photos in the advertisement are completely false. They do not provide any on sight…read moreservices. They mere have a video kiosk to speak with a customer servicr representative. The quality of services have grossly deteriorated over the past 10 years. The Mayhill Gate is never operating anymore. The building doors no longer have secure keypad access, there are motion sensors now. The floors throughout the buildings are covered with rodent feces. And the prices keep rising, right now my rate has increased 50% since I first started. I do not recommend this storage facility. If you do decide to rent a unit, please do not let family members with fragile health, very young, or very old visit with you. The amount of rodent feces could be very dangerous if the feces becomes infected with the hantavirus, take a broom, dust pan, waste bag, and mask with you when you go there, so that you can clear a path to your storage unit and sweep out your unit every time. ​

They raise the rent didn't inform me. When I finally got tired of the dealing with customer no service. I packed things in plastic containers etc. knowing outdoor storage means bugs. I have not seen a single rodent or bug in my unit or things after a year. This place is in I35E construction zone and part of it will be torn down so ask about how long your unit will remain and access.
