On a whim, I Googled around, found Aeraci.com and called their office in Brownsville, but that was closed due to COVID so they were working out of their main office only in Los Fresnos - a scant 15 minute drive, and after speaking with Mary on the phone (a consummate professional, kind, and thorough) who was clearly handling phones ringing off the hook. I have spent my time working in commercial appliance sales, so I know how hard Mary was having it at 4:00PM in the afternoon, as it seems their smaller satellite offices were having all phones route to them, and she was juggling incoming calls from much bigger fish than me - though she was thorough, diligent and had my GE part and it was on my way to grab the part. I explained that I had to get gas, I may be cutting it close, though she offered to stay open if I needed. All of this was unnecessary as I had made it in good time, with getting gas, and the small shop was one of those small town gems that you love - simple, to the point, and highly functional. You could easily tell that their business - definitely of the counter-style appliance part variety - was more centralized on commercial B2B though the friendliness, kindness, and sharp nature of Mary at the front was one that welcomed even the DYI crowd. The transaction was speedy and I was most pleased they sold water and chips old-school small town style, and it was fun to support local businesses like this - especially for appliance parts and repair in an era where the larger Lowe's and Home Depots of the world overrun places like Aeraci.com though they cannot replace the care, expertise, and speed. I have 3 outdoor cats in my backyard property and every time Mr. Lucio would treat my yard and home, he would assure me that my pets would be safe and I never had any issues with them. This year I scheduled my treatment for my home again and was delayed for about a month until he came to treat my home. I walked outside to greet Mr. Lucio and walk him through my yard to review the areas I wanted treated. I mentioned to him that I would not be treating the interior of my home (just the outdoors) because I believed I might have had an allergic reaction last time to the treatment in my garage. Naturally he asked me what happened, I described that for a couple of weeks I had bronchial irritation after breathing in the treatment in my garage because I was cleaning in there the day after the work was done. He goes on to tell me that he doesn't want to spray my home anymore, because he is concerned about my health. He goes on to tell me that it has never happened before and that I'm the 1st person to tell him that. I responded that its fine and I only want the outdoors done. He goes on about how I'm raising "red flags" for him. He is concerned about liability but I tell him that I would be the better judge of what I should do to protect my health (hence asking him not to spray indoors only outdoors). He danced around the subject and I thought , after waiting on him for weeks he shows up to decline to treat my home because he is "concerned about my health, and that I'm so worried about my cats", when he has already been treating the place for previous years! He's been assuring me that my pets would be fine and I assured him that I wasn't trapping him with liability or else why would I bother to call him back? I felt he could have handled the situation differently and instead he came off as condescending. I was not given a choice in the matter or presented with a waiver form for services (only mentioned ). I have never been accused of mal intentions nor have I ever approached people with complaints and yet today I was refused services because of a potential situation that has never happened.

No one has ever needed specific directions to get to my place before this guy. It's called google maps. He should really try it sometime. Anyway, I gave him perfect directions and offered to come out and get him. He declined and he said he'd be at my door in a minute. 10 mins later he calls AGAIN stating that he's knocking on my door. Turns out he was at the wrong building. -_- He tells me that "you made a mistake with your directions" (which I didn't) and that "you're making things very difficult for me, sir"...REALLY?! Difficult FOR YOU?! Are you freaking kidding me?!? and THEN he hangs up on me. I wait another 15 minutes and hear nothing. I finally called the office and got the front desk girl. She proceeded to tell me that this guy tried to find me and couldn't do be left.....he LEFT. Didn't call me back to resolve the issue he just up and left and said nothing. I told him I would go out and get him and he declined. Third - this front desk girl. I explained the situation and how rude their employee was over the phone. Instead of being professional and trying to resolve the situation she said insisted that her employee "tried" and that I was in the wrong. That's not how this works. All that needed to be said was "I'm sorry for the inconvenience sir. We'd be happy to send out another contractor as soon as possible" and all would have been well. But no. She wanted to argue with me over the phone about the matter. A matter of which she hadn't witnessed. Absolutely ridiculous. Theres 2 hours of my life I will never get back. What a waste of time.
