We hired him for drywall, tape/bed, and texture work on our shed. Kevin mentioned drywall, tape/texture was his specialty but that's not the reality. He mentioned it would take 4-5 days to complete the job and it ended up taking him a total of 9 days due to a lack of crew unfortunately. He comes across as nice, but the quality of work was unacceptable. There are numerous bubbles and uneven mud throughout, and he failed to cover our windows before spraying texture, leaving them coated and requiring extensive cleaning. Due to the damage and poor workmanship, we now have to hire another contractor to demo and redo the entire job. Upon research I've found that he's done poor quality work to other people as well.

Steve's work was top-notch, on time (a first for us when hiring a contractor), and fairly priced. Steve did most the work himself with some assistance from his daughter. They kept the workspace and any other living areas they had to pass through clean at all times. On the days where he had a separate crew of guys come out (for the tile work), he even came by at the end of the day to make sure everything was cleaned up. Halfway through the project after seeing how well it was going, I asked if he could do another small job we had been putting off for awhile. He said he could and that he'd even be able to fit it in on the original project's timeline. I would recommend Steve and Simple-Needs to anyone that needs some work done in their home.

He gave me options and made suggestions while respecting my priorities. When he came to do the work, I was blown away at his professionalism. He prepped my area with great attention to detail, kept the dust to a minimum, asked me to walk through at the end, then cleaned up completely. I had Jesse repair ceiling cracks from foundation settling in an older home. He took time to explain how he repaired it and even took care to match my ceiling texture. I'm so grateful and impressed by Jesse and his spirit of excellence. Well done. I'll be using him for future projects!

I worked with Jesse and his team to finish a commercial remodeling project that another contractor…read morehad done a good job on, but abandoned the project at about 95% done. I paid Jesse $15k to finish this job, and he was aware of each element of the project including trim work, painting, and fixing the floors that were not glued down properly. We started the project well, and the work done on the crown molding looked good. They touched up some drywall texture and it looked really rough in certain areas, and was much heavier than the existing texture. It seemed the guys didn't really know what they were doing with texture. He did fix it somewhat, although there are still areas where you can visibly see it does not match. Also some of the doors/trim that were painted were done quickly with a very heavy textured brush, and should have been done with a light roller to match the others. But for the most part they fixed things we pointed out and they looked better by the end. Where the issues really came in was at the end. Jesse told us to blue tape everything that needed to be redone and we did. They then came and "fixed" it and removed the tape, however we noticed many of the things we taped looked the same and the tape had just been removed. We did that three or four times and there was still things that they were just removing tape on. I then walked it with him and he said he was going to fix the things I pointed out, including flooring that still needed to be glued back down. He then sent guys over and they didn't do any of the things we discussed. He told me to blue tape it AGAIN, and I said no that they are just removing the tape and not doing the work, but if he sends guys we will show them what to fix. Fast forward a few months, and the last few things we had taped were never fixed, floor tiles are still bubbling up that he was supposed to fix, and he says because he did "extra work" that he is no longer responsible to finish the actual job he contractually agreed to. (The "extra work" he referred to was putting in drywall ceiling instead of drop ceiling in a room addition. We had never discussed or agreed to a drop ceiling so I was going to cancel the job, but he agreed to switch it to keep the job.) I tried to come to an agreement with him and potentially give him more work if he finished the previous job. However he didn't even show up when he said he would to quote me on it, so at this point I'm just going to find a new contractor. I'm disappointed but I only want to work with people who keep their word and honor their contracts. Attached part of contract and screenshots of texts.

Finding the right handyman was tough, but Joseph stood out right away when he answered my ad. He was professional from the start and even told me I wouldn't need to pay until the job was completely done. Despite today's thunderstorm, he showed up on time and dedicated himself to the project. I purchased the Samsung 60" DU7200 Series Crystal UHD 4K Smart Tizen TV (2024) and paired it with the Best Buy Essentials™ Full Motion Wall Mount for 47-84" TVs. Joseph handled the entire installation with ease -- I could tell he knew exactly what he was doing, step by step. He even installed my Govee Dreamview TV Strip Lights and made sure the final touches were perfect. Once mounted, he double-checked that the TV was straight, organized all my wires neatly, and even provided a 6-month warranty in case I had any questions or issues. Hopefully, my photos do it justice. I'm beyond happy with how this project turned out. I will definitely take him into consideration for upcoming projects -- highly recommend Joseph for anyone needing a trustworthy, skilled handyman!
