Hosted a birthday party for 9 people. Reserved Tony's room about 3 weeks in advance. Have been here several times and never disappointed. We had the room for two hours. Holiday weekend and place is packed. For appetizers we had one order of fried ravioli served in a tomato cream sauce. We also ordered a couple of pizza checca which are thin pizzas with olive oil, mozzarella cheese, basil, diced tomatoes, garlic and feta cheese The appetizers were served with an excellent antipasto salad and ciabatta bread. I had the shrimp diablo pasta served with spinach in a spicy red sauce. Several people had pasta and red sauce. One person had eggplant parmesan. Several had fettuccini alfredo, one person had tuscan grilled salmon and another, the spaghetti deluxe. There was very little food left and everyone was a happy camper. The dessert selections at our table included, chocolate 7 layer cake, homemade cannoli and also spumoni ice cream. Service was good. The room comfortably held 9 people, although it can reportedly hold 12. Wait time for walk in folks was 45 minutes and it jumped to 90 minutes when we left. They have patio dining and a drive through for meal pick up. read more

Loved it. The food was comforting, traditional, and tasted like a home cooked meal. My favorite part was the anti pasto salad and soft bread that came with an entree order. The service was warm and welcoming. Ambiance is a classic old school italian restaurant. They also have a great rewards program where you get 10% back in rewards. What a great lunch stop this turned out to be! The service (by Randie) was great. She was quick and very attentive without being intrusive. My husband had a delicious seafood bake and I had a lemony shrimp and pasta dish. The salad (with the addition of salami and cheese) was practically a meal in itself. Then there was the irresistible bread. I'm not sure why some restaurant bread is just so good, but I had to convince our server NOT to bring any more or I would have just kept eating it. Portions were ample and the prices were very reasonable. We skipped dessert. We left full and ready for an afternoon nap. read more

We celebrated my grandson's bday here and there were eight of us there. Our server Naomi was excellent. I had the Eggplant Parmesan with a side of Cacio e Pepe and it was excellent. The Alfredo lacked flavor, the shrimp were disappointing and there was only three - fortunately I had also added clams or it would have been very protein deficient. I've never had a bad meal here. Neighborhood Italian place, good specials, enough to take home for leftovers. Really delicious bread and house dressing, although they have gotten chintzy with the black olives and tomatoes on the refillable salads lately. I recommend the lunch specials, like the garlicky shrimp dish I had recently. Affordable and, with the salad and bread, very filling. Their limoncello was also delicious. Sweet servers, not the fastest, but attentive and kind. If you can linger over lunch a bit, all the better for everybody, right? read more

I was visiting AZ and saw this place had good reviews so we decided to try it. We came on a Saturday night and it was pretty packed. Good thing I made reservations. We were seated promptly. The Frozen Tony drink was too sweet for me. We ordered the Pizza Checca for our appetizer. It was flavorful and the portion is good enough for 3-4 people to share. The baked RigaTony was delicious ! On the other hand, the spaghetti with meatballs was just okay. We were full and didn't have space for dessert. Server was nice and friendly. Love going to RigaTony's for lunch or dinner. 6 of us went to dinner last night. 4 of us had the special- Surf and Turf. 2 of them were sent back. 1 didn't like taste and one had very char'd steak. We all asked for rare. For being tenderloin, it was very chewy. almost tough. The risotto and shrimp were very good. The service was very good as usual. Was having an urge for Italian food so the wife and I decided to give RigaTony's a try. We were seated right away and greeted by our waiter Aiden who was very nice. He brought us water and my wife got an Iced Tea and I got a Coors Lite. My wife got the Lobster Ravioli and I got the lunch special Baked RigaTony. Meals came with a bowl of antipasta salad and delicious bread. The salad was fresh and tasty, and when our main courses came they were wonderful. Aiden checked back frequently and was very nice to talk to. We also ordered the Seafood Checca with Angel Hair Pasta to go for our son and he really liked it as well. The interior is nicely decorated and service was excellent. Lunch specials are from 11am to 3pm (I think) and there is a different one each day but on Saturday and Sunday you can order any of them for the lunch special. You should give this place a try, it is well worth it. read more

We sat outside and it was very lovely. The bread and the salad were amazing. We ordered a lunch pizza, lunch fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, and the fettuccine and butter garlic sauce with sausage. This was a fun way to spend time with family and strangers who will also dine with you. We were emerged in a fun "who did it" theatrical performance with "everyone" playing a part. The food was OK, I am sure the bar had great selection of drinks. We loved playing along to figure out who was murdering all the performers. I am a regular, purchasing gift cards in Dec and use throughout the year. I do this because my grandson loves the baked Rigatony and with every $50 gift card you get a gift card for a free baked Rigatony for 2 to go. Excellent value for us. Rigatony's never disappoints. Note that service does vary from exceptional to average, but I've never experienced "bad" service. To beat the crowds I recommend Reservations or early dinner - I'm not a fan of waiting to be seated. In a pinch, and if we can find a seat, we eat in the bar area. Not the best atmosphere but service is great. Food never disappoints. Salad is great. I recommend purchasing house salad dressing to take home. Wish I had learned about this option this years ago Favorites are pasta jambalaya, lasagna, Cicero pizza & baked Rigatony. We had an early dinner here on Friday night before the dinner rush and we were seated right away. The inside is pretty cute. The walls are decorated with interesting photos and memorabilia. The food is great. We started off with a calamari platter and omg it was one of the best I've had in a while. The lasagna was delicious and huge, definitely enough for two people to share. I don't get it. Place is run down. Looks old. No atmosphere. Menus and tables are sticky. Food is your red sauce Italian run of the mill. A highlight is the bottomless salad-delish. Oh, and the cockroaches. I know, they roam free in this area of Tempe and yes I'm sure there is moisture from the kitchen. But it's a big turn off in a restaurant. Pizza-average, nothing to see here. Seem to attract a mature clientele-they have been a staple in Tempe, and I hope they can revamp the place for their own survival. The bartenders were friendly and helpful without being over the top, and everything we ordered came out quickly. Wine was good and prices were reasonable. Most of all, I was a little surprised at how good the food was. I was expecting mid quality like a typical chain restaurant, and instead got a meal I'd happily order again and again. I had the eggplant Parm with cacao e pepe, and my husband had baked rigatoni; we also had the antipasto salad. The pasta dishes were well-cooked and seasoned, not too heavy or bland at all. Same with the eggplant Parm - it was light and flavorful and not greasy at all. I don't usually order dessert, but went for the tiramisu and I'm glad I did. Good food and an excellent waiter named Elsir restored my faith in Rigatony's tonight. No one in my party of 4 ordered anything with tomato sauce, and everyone loved their northern Italian cuisine. Having been literally burned in the past by caustically hot red sauces as described in my past posts, I'm still not ordering anything with marinara or other tomato sauces there, but I will give them another chance in the future. The smoked salmon linguine was utterly delicious. The portion was very generous but I finished nearly all but some linguine. The small room to the right after the entrance comfortably fit our group of 12. The servers were pleasant and helpful with wrapping the yummy leftovers.
