While I tried to not let my "American-ness" show by asking for ranch, I did toss on some of the chili oil and Tabasco they had readily available to give the Pizza a little extra kick. Not sure if it was the dim, candle-lit lighting or being jet-lagged (maybe both?), but don't make the same mistake I did by thinking the shaker of a dark yellow powdery substance is garlic powder because it's really brown sugar! Other than that... Delicious!

Fine Italian dining at its best! And yes, in Berlin…read more I enjoyed a late lunch here. I had walked past the restaurant on numerous occasions in the evenings when it is rather crowded. They offer seating both outdoors and indoors. I opted to dine outdoors. Nice atmosphere. The waiter spoke German, Italian, and English. He was professional and efficient. Complimentary warm, fresh bread and olives were served first. I ordered a Latte Macchiato and the Spaghetti Aglio Olio. The spaghetti was perfectly cooked, al dente. It was simple, not loaded with many ingredients, just garlic, roasted red peppers, Parmesan, and olive oil. Delicious. Reminiscing makes my mouth water. It was a pleasant expensive.

Located just down the street from the Brandonburg Gate, this restaurant is easily accessible. They have nice interior seating Plus, they have a very large patio with a lot of tables. What this restaurant offers is, as mentioned, a traditional Italian cuisine. From this, you have a lot of choices: pasta, pizza, and the like. They also have a full bar, plus a good selection of wine, and beer. Plus, all of the expected soft drinks. The food here is prepared fairly well. There's really nothing to complain about in terms of the overall presentation and/or flavor. On a lighter note, our server seem to be pretty grumpy the last time we were there. More than once he would step away from his tables and move out into the front of the restaurant to have a smoke. Then, he would reluctantly come back to take care of his duties. But, nonetheless, he got his job done. Overall, if you want some pretty good Italian food in Berlin, this may be the place for you

Not pictured was the bufala burrata caprese, which was simple but tasty, then I had the spaghetti carbonara and my bf had the spaghetti bolognese. Both were fantastic. High quality, fast, AND cheap meal option for lunch through late night…read more Most reviews here are for the pizza - we tried a slice and it was okay. A little dried out from sitting out and then being reheated, but cheap and tons of topping options by the slice. I have to rave about the PASTA. They're all priced at $6-8 euros and you get a large portion (plenty for one person, shareable for two if you're not super hungry). We tried the pesto pasta and it was so fresh and flavorful, plus we had a major cheese craving and they DELIVERED with a big pile of parmesan served on the side that you can mix in. Staff is friendly, service was fast, you really can't go wrong.
In place or takeaway?…read more I really like this place, especially when I'm in a hurry. The biggest problem I have with the decision, when you look at this site, all the pieces they say 'take me'. The whole product range is the most fresh and tasty. Everyone can find here something for a carnivore or vegetarian. You order at pizzerman, then you go to the cashier to pay, wait a minute and you get a hot piece of pizza. Each piece costs 2.5 euros, for the hungry find yourself even half a meter. The Italian atmosphere you can feel on your own skin, hearing the buzz of employees and fantasies additional connections. Minus for chaos on dirty tables. I'll go back to unless I try all the flavors.

We were going to order one pizza each but the waiter warned us about the size and suggested that we do half size pizzas and to order more if we were still hungry. Glad he recommended this because they were pretty big. We went with a vegetarian and the capriccio pizza. They were good but would have loved more crisp. Parmesan cheese as a topping would have been nice as well but it was not an option. Honestly, it's a decent place to go to for a quick bite.
Atmosphere: 1/1 Service: 1/1…read moreFood: 1/3 I stumbled upon this lovely little place on my trip to Berlin. I waited a while but nobody came to talk to or seat me even though they obviously knew I was there so I assume it was probably self-seating, went in, and awkwardly sat myself - and apparently that was totally fine! I initially went in because I wanted to try their pasta, but when I sat down I saw almost everyone in there was eating pizza. I asked my waiter if he would recommend the pasta or pizza and he said definitely the pizza, so I went with that instead. I think L'Osteria is known for having *huge* pizzas, and yes omg let me tell you it was definitely HUGE! (Picture posted so you can see, it was as big as my body!) However while I enjoyed the experience of chilling in the restaurant with my giant pizza and radler (and my waiter was super friendly and chill too!), how much I enjoyed my food was a whole other story. Toppings were sparse and the pizza was way, way too salty. I will likely not be back next time I visit just based on the quality of the pizza, which is unfortunate as everything else about this restaurant was quite pleasant.

This place is off the scale on the effortless side. It's positively horizontal in the service department, not the speed of it, coz hot tasty food raced our way before I could say where's my pizza? But the attitude. You're never entirely sure whether they've taken it all in, but their un-reassuring nod kinda puts you at ease? :/ They're very trusting though. If you want a drink then it's a help yourself setup from the fridge. To make sure they knew I wasn't pilfering I waved my chosen Berlin beer in their general direction and there it was again - That nod with half closed eyes. Come "The bill, please" time it was a case of, "just tell us what drinks you had". I wasn't sure, coz copious amounts of drink (well, 3 bottles really) and counting aren't my forte. But a helping hand from my sober friends soon brought order to my dodgy beer goggle arithmetic :)
