Fairly undifferentiated park. Pretty scenery but nothing spectacular. Staff is friendly but unintegrated. A lot of different entities running parts of park and nobody from one area seems to be able to speak to another. The fishing regs are very complicated so much so that I wouldn't even try fishing unless you are a regular. You buy a license, then go have your gear checked, which you only find out about after you buy your license. Either the details of the regs are in some fine print somewhere or just not documented but it seems that essentially any fishing gear that has been used outside of the park is at risk of not being allowed to be used in the park. I get the desire to protect against invasive species but just don't allow fishing to accomplish vs the system that has been put in place. I would pass on this park. read more
