Each day, we were treated to a fabulous experience across various locations, including beaches, trails, forests, fields, and stunning coastal locations. I was incredibly lucky to get to ride Wally for an advanced, 5-day excursion as part of a friend's birthday celebration trip. Wally (and all of the horses!) were well trained and perfectly matched to their rider's ability. Whether galloping on the beach, riding through coastal towns, climbing hills, or quietly strolling along a forest trail, it was the most perfect experience. Our guides all week long (shout out to Debbie, Katie, Mel, Ellie, Sarah, and Donal!) were knowledgeable, entertaining, and organized. I truly came away from the week feeling like a more confident rider. Lastly, logistics were a breeze. From our B&B in Ballycastle, to transportation, to dinner reservations, we always felt cared for. I truly cannot recommend BEI highly enough and am already dreaming of the day I get to come back!

Good riding school that gets results and is set in very pleasant surroundings. They have both…read moreoutdoor and indoor arenas which is useful if the weather is unpleasant. As with all riding schools some horses do have vices but most are good and you can often request to have the same horse/pony. However because the instructors were 'born on a horse' they don't appear to understand that some people find it quite frightening to be on a horse that is careering uncontrolled across an arena and that telling them to sit up straight and pull on the reins, when they are hanging off the side of the horse, just isn't going to help. Nonetheless you can learn to ride successfully to competition standard.

The routes taken are all very exciting and not like other centres where you just go around in circles. The centre teaches children from age 5 upwards and has various size horses and ponies to suit both physical and ability restrictions. really lovely staff and a pleasure to deal with.
