They have only one bench, but there weren't many people competing for it when I visited. Two full squat racks and a couple stands that can be used if the racks are occupied. I emailed to check their holiday hours, and they responded quickly, which was helpful. However, they said to schedule via a WhatsApp number and didn't respond there until I emailed again, so not sure what the point of the WhatsApp messaging is. Payment was easy, they take credit card (with tap to pay) and cash. No Apple Pay. It was 25 Euro when I went, not bad for access to barbells abroad.

I booked last minute today after some flight delays and the company answered my inquiry in chat immediately and it was really nice of them to accommodate me as I was the only one on the tour. My guide Matteo was exceptional. He did a wonderful job navigating the Rome traffic and he was polite and personable and his English is excellent. My partner, our friends, family member, and I were fortunate to visit on a really clear, sunny day during our golf cart tour in September.  From the observation point on the western edge, the Terrace of the Pincio overlooks the Piazza del Popolo extending to the dome of St. Peter's Basilica, making a unique and stunning panorama in the world. It deserves to be seen, especially for the sunset!

Zach suggested a tandem, which we had not considered, and we took advantage and had our best day in Rome. The day prior, I went on the four hour Appian Way tour with Anna and she gave a great tour, and I had what may have been my favorite gelato stop. Their electric assist bikes are really powerful and the tandem bikes, while not electric, were fine for two so-so fit persons. Don't pass up the opportunity to bike Rome!

Wow I love the Campo de Fiori. The name means the field of flowers, because it used to be a field…read moreof flowers and vegetable gardens here before it became this square. Unfortunately from the 16th to 19th century this place became a public execution site. Yikes. The most famous execution was Giordano Bruno in 1600, in which there is now a statue in his honor for freedom of thought. Happy thoughts, happy thoughts. Pass forward to present day. This area is lively with the open air markets where you can find vendors selling produce, flowers, spices, cheese, and artisanal goods. My boyfriend and I came here to explore the live market and also to look for souvenirs to bring home. The vendors here are really aggressive and I would have enjoyed it more if they gave me space to look instead of hound me to buy buy buy. Like chill dude can I look at what I'm buying. Sigh. We were here til closing time and even get to see how the vendors efficiently and quickly packed up their stalls and belongings to wrap up for the day. And of course... a great area to enjoy some gelato.

Once a site for public executions (Bruno's brooding statue still watches over), it now specializes in overpriced pasta and garlic braids. It's more performance art than produce. Vendors heckle, truffle oil flows freely, and yes, someone will try to sell you limoncello in a boot. I walked through as part of a food tour, which felt like the right way to enjoy the chaos, briefly, and with snacks elsewhere. Not the best market in Rome, but definitely the most theatrical.
