You could go to PetSmart or Petco or any one of the franchises, but you would be missing out-…read moreBIGTIME. With Happy Wags, we were able to get personal service at our home. We didn't have to drive the 20 miles to a pet store. We didn't have to deal with other yappy dogs pooping all over the place. Instead, in the comfort of our own home, we learned how to keep our dog from darting out of the door, how to go "down" and how to walk on the leash. We don't have to put our dog away when guest visit. Buddy no longer goes insane when the doorbell rings. Our dog stays now when we tell him and he even sleeps in a new bed when told "night, night". Buddy turns 5 yrs old this month. Everyone else had given up on him. But, Happy Wags told us he was still trainable; and they were right. Buddy LOVED training and his trainer. I have stage 4 cancer and my father has Parkinson's disease and my mother is 75. Our dog, Buddy badly needed the loving, positive personal training he received. Our trainer had to work harder with our family than most families, I suppose, because of our physical limitations. She readily adapted the lessons and was always available via phone and e-mail. I loved the e-mail reminders. Did I mention the price? The price turned out to be less expensive than at the pet stores and she came to our home and offered more sessions. The service was supportive, affordable and life-changing for our dog and family. Happy Wags is now a part of our "framily." We are so thankful. We miss her and we almost hope Buddy acts up so we can call her for more lessons. This really is as good as it gets.

We were super happy with the service, they understood that one of my cats is a shy weirdo and made sure she got her food, even if they had to put it half way upstairs. I got regular updates (and pictures) so we knew the two cats were absolutely fine and that helped us to have a stress free few days out of town. They include litter box cleaning in the service, which is also really helpful and they offer a lot of flexibility in what type of pet visits you need to schedule. Donna is most definitely willing to work with the pet owners and the communication was excellent. I also appreciate that Go Away Pet Sitting also has a good online tool for communicating, scheduling and getting updates as well as billing. All in all, we are very pleased and will definitely be using them again.

I am relieved to have stumbled upon pet nanny through yelp- what life savers! Its a very affordable service, and they were super accommodating with my last minute situation. They set us up with Megan, a short drive from us, who was willing to stop by daily to check on our two cats. They provide a free app- petwatchman- which is really cool. It tells you with GPS when the petsitter is at your house, and for how long. I looked forward to the updates about what my boys were up to when I was gone- when the app wasnt working for a couple of days as it was being worked on, they made sure to get me Megans number. She texted me daily when she was there and filled me in what the kitties were up to. I have another trip coming up, and my boyfriend travels for work, so we will be needing a pet sitter again. Two of our three cats have special needs - one a 17 year old cat on special kidney diet, and one on a high-fiber diet and Miralax - so I was really worried. Especially since the third cat will happily eat EVERYTHING while the first two shouldn't eat each other's food. The daily reports and photos were a continual reassurance and when I expressed concern about one cat's behavior that day (Hiding under the bed...something he NEVER does unless ill) they immediately quarantined him and made sure he was getting all of his food and medicine without the other cats interfering - they even moved his cat tower into the bedroom because they noticed he normally slept on it and wanted him comfortable in his solitary confinement. Problem solved, they put everything back and let the cat back out when he showed signs he was ok. They even brought in some packages that were unexpectedly delivered in our absence.
