The way the event was handled was dangerously neglectful and caused her almost her life. The care aide did her job better than her superior. She called me promptly as she suspected something was wrong although there is a language barrier. LPN needed to be told to take the patient's vitals, to call 911 etc. When someone is experiencing a stroke, time is of an essence, LPN should know this. The facility did not have an aspirin at the nursing station facilitating hundreds of elderly. The LPN was playing a video game (on his phone) during the residence stroke event, having to be prompted to keep an eye on her vitals so we can report to the ambulance team any observable changes when they arrive. Aging is never easy, and health challenges are inevitable, but neglect, incompetence, and lack of compassion of this institution and its leaders should be addressed immediately before more people are harmed. If you are a senior with a handicap expect to be neglected and abused in this facility. If you do not speak English or speak a little English don't even think about staying in this inhuman establishment. My mother together with our whole family has had the most horrible experience. The management and administration team are inconsiderate and uncompassionate for the facility that operates with vulnerable seniors. Shameful! Most care staff are trying to be nice. I feel bad for them bc the management is making their job unnecessarily more complex. They are doing their best in spite of the vindictive leadership. God is our witness. You had two and half years to show what kind of a facility and management you are and how you care for those most vulnerable. We tried every possible diplomatic process with you until we ran out of options other than proceeding legally. You have left blind woman, with complex post-traumatic stress disorder that does not speak English in complete isolation, neglected her physical, medical and mental health needs, basic hygiene, her specialized diet needs and only God knows what else that we are not aware of. As a manager who made decisions that profoundly affected this elderly's life, I hope you are ashamed of your leadership and impact your choices affected someone in your care. I am happy to talk about this. If and when you change your perspective and are willing to work with us in mitigating the situation that is causing my mom to live in complete isolation, with no social, emotional or physical stimulation for 90% of the day, then please contact me. He has type II diabetes & Alzheimers, but was living independently with my Mom as his caregiver. After 2 weeks at Fellburn, he is back in hospital with dangerously high blood sugar, a raging infection, contracted RSV, is severely dehydrated, has lost a lot of weight & is unresponsive. We are now having to make the heartbreaking decision of whether to withdraw care & change to a palliative approach. This place FAILED my Dad & my family . He wasnt given a chance to try & recover! Please, don't let Fellburn do this to your family! My father passed away on Jan. 19. Fellburn has refused to speak to us and provide answers to the many questions we have regarding the lack of care he received. This is heartbreaking for me, thinking of my poor father laying in his bed, nobody was helping him to eat or drink anything, we have no idea if he was in pain or if anyone tried to explain to him why his family wasn't able to visit. They just left him to suffer and die! Don't, don't, don't agree to let your loved one be sent here!

Until then she had lived in her own home, so it was an enormous transition. She was treated so warmly and lovingly by the staff there. Change is hard, and much more so at her age. As her only child, I couldn't have asked for a better new home for her. She moved so all of her family could be nearby, and it turned out to be an ideal situation. Cedar Springs Parc gave her a social life that kept her busy and active for her remaining years. I will forever be grateful for the staff making her feel so vital and alive and for encouraging her to live a full life.

I've had to deal with with the manager of this…read morecompany, Boon Sim, regarding a rodent infestation in my rental unit. my messages went unanswered for long periods of time, and he managed to find a pest control company as incompetent as he is, who was t available for weeks to come and deal with the rodents. when I requested he contact a different company he was condescending, rude, and uncooperative. in the end I had to go directly to the owners of the house, and after making one phone call I was able to accomplish what he couldn't (or wouldn't) do in three months. there is a ridiculous amount of turnover, and after dealing with Boon, I understand why. Boon is essentially a slum lord in a suit. i would strongly recommend anyone looking for rental management services look elsewhere.
