In this city, I've touched the moonlit stars from the penthouses, but one place shines a little brighter. Rick's Cabaret New York, based at 50 W 33rd St, has become my fourth penthouse. Seducing the senses with a fantastic blend of delightful enticement and top-tier service, it's a spot that exceeds expectations. The very mention of it stirs fond memories of icy cold beers, mellifluous tunes, and the city's most alluring women that make the world spin a little faster. Jesse, the bartender, is a gem among them. My love for 18-year-old Scotch whisky on rocks is something he remembers, even if I return after months of NYC hustling. After all, what's more charming than feeling recognized? Additionally, I had the pleasure of meeting Sophia; she's a catch to behold. One woman, however, stands out. Amanda, a cocktail waitress who's a star rivaling any dancer spinning on the pole. The way she commands the room with her charismatic energy is electrifying. She's multi-talented, balancing requests with a finesse that leaves you mesmerized. Remembers your drink, treats her patrons with the utmost respect, and steals the show amidst all the nighttime chaos - Amanda's unique blend of sprightliness, looks, and productive skills contribute significantly to my cherished experiences. Sure, people come to Rick's for the dancers but akin to an extraordinary espresso served at the entrance of a Picasso museum, Amanda, is the heart of this grand ol' time of a place. She's truly a shining star in this constellation! While the club provides top-drawer experiences, it is not for the faint-hearted. It's the luminous realm of experiences that matches the price tag. But I've always believed that if you've got the money honey, they've got your disease. So for an NY finance guy with a taste for the finer things in life, frequenting Rick's is equivalent to walking into a moonlit paradise - helped, in no small measure, by lovely souls like Jesse, Sophia and Amanda. Gotta give this place 5 Stars, I really love Rick's. Doormen- amazing. Professional & upscale experience from the moment you walk in. You are greeted, taken to the coat check (girl is always hot there too) then you're brought to another bouncer who will offer you a table if you choose. They aren't pushy to sell you a bottle and if you want to go straight to the bar you are not frowned upon for doing so. Ambiance is very tasteful, main floor has plenty of tables and the stage is beautiful- only weird thing is they don't have a pole on the main stage. Now- the talent here is exactly what you want from a strip club. Girls looks start at a 7/10 and go all the way up to maxim/sports illustrated model quality. Some of these girls are legitimately as beautiful as women can be. Very diverse, plenty of white/european girls, Latinas, different types of asians, and black girls. This one Japanese girl who doesn't speak much English says "tankuuuu" in a way makes me laugh my ass off every time. Haven't seen her in a while, hope she didn't go back to Tokyo. Anyways... Bartenders- super professional and make great cocktails. Lap dances are standard $20/song and private rooms are standard prices as well for a nice place. Food is also actually really good, all around this place kicks ass, makes sense that it's one of the only publicly traded strip club companies. I'd invest. Only complaint I've had is when going private- first off drinks are about twice the price- but more nerving is we are expected to tip the person that literally walks us 10 feet from the place you pay into the room...like 20%? I'm by no means cheap at strip clubs, will always spend at least 1-2K total in a night, but let's say I'm spending $400 on a room, and tip the dancer $100, and now I'm expected to tip the same to the girl who literally took my money and walked me down the hall? I get it, you work on tips- but it doesn't seem well earned, and ups the original price about 50% after tipping her and the dancer (who earns it). Now, the ones who do deserve tips but don't usually get them are the bouncers. These guys are cool as hell, every one of them. Always there to make your night the best experience it can be. It's kinda like visiting a Picasso museum because they have great espresso on the way in, hey - if the espresso is that great, who needs Picasso, right ? Every dude needs his coffee Here is a top ten list on why Amanda is awesome at ricks !! 1. She remembers your drink 2. She remembers YOU 3. If you behave like a class act, she'll treat you like one 4. She has an effortless vibe about her - that makes you feel, come on in - drink a Manhattan 5. Between the bedlam and happy chaos after 11 PM - she still knows exactly when you need the next cocktail 6. So some years ago I had worked at a place called Dick's Last Resort. It was a Roadhouse style restaurant where the staff was encouraged to be rude to customers. Well, the superbly friendly and accommodating staff: Shaun, Jen, Yola, Freddy, Joe, Mustafo....make Rick's my first resort when it comes to adult entertainment. Mike and CJ run a top shelf bar. With their welcoming smiles and consistent pours, you'd never know either one was having a bad day. But who can really have that bad of a day when you're surrounded by gorgeous womem who come from all walks of life? Every time I enter this beautiful establishment I feel like I die and went to my dad's "happy box" in the basement. Without a doubt, the best lap dance I ever received was compliments of the stunningly beautiful and titillating talent. Now I don't mean to gloss over another highlight featured within. If you're in Herald Square or around The Empire State Building, and your stomach is growling. Rick's goes above and beyond fixing that hunger and making you whole again. The prefixed lunch is out of this world. French Onion soup served to perfection. Succulent steaks that melt in your mouth. Never have I had a main entre that felt like a dessert. You really can't go wrong with any menu item. I'm not exaggerating. The moment Curtis or Danny greet you at the door, get ready for the time of your life. Rick's Cabaret -- New York, NY Look -- I came through on a calm visit, no bachelor party yet, just a little preview... and Rick's did not disappoint. First off -- Steven and Marc? Solid dudes. Real managers who actually care that you're having a good time and not just throwing you into the mix. They were hands-on without hovering, kept the energy smooth. Shoutout to Jessie, our daytime host/waitress -- had the whole vibe on lock. Cool, attentive, made sure the table stayed fed and hydrated. Absolute pro. This place hits that sweet spot between high-end and high-energy. You feel taken care of without it being over-the-top fake. The dancers? Top tier. The staff? Locked in. The music? On point for daytime -- which isn't easy to pull off. Already planning Part 2 for the bachelor party, and expectations are high. After explaining to 2 ladies that I don't have enough for dances or private room, I received MORE AND MORE PRESSURE FROM THEM! I left Rick's Cabaret defeated and unease and uncomfortable. NEVER AGAIN WILL I RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS! Manager Heather NEVER pressured me into spending money I did not have. She NEVER pressured me into going over my budget. Heather wasn't here this evening. If Heather was here tonight, she would have understand that I AM STILL RECOVERING financially from COVID-19 crisis. The dinner was fine, but eventually got ruined from ALL THIS DAMN PRESSURE TO GO INTO PRIVATE ROOM (ESPECIALLY WHEN I GO TO ROOM WITH ONLY 2 ladies whose name begin with C and L). What's worst? THEY DID NOT WEAR MASKS ON IN THE ROOM AND NOT ONLY VIOLATED ME BUT VIOLATED CDC GUIDELINES! Sad, I will NEVER see Heather again.
