I expected a gloomy garage with a haircut from a retired landscaper, a bowl and a weed whacker. That IS NOT how it is at all going to Brandi's Place. The establishment is neat and upbeat. It hosts a bunch of barber chairs and an assortment of ladies young and vintage who are ready to tackle my mop. You sign in and wait in a spacious room to be called in for a cut. You get the barber you get. (Don't know about you, but my life has been like that since birth, so it's no big deal for me) The process is quick and friendly. I've been going to Brandi's for four years now. I walk away looking better than I walked in every time. $8. It gives me the chance to be grateful and exercise generosity come tip time. Which leads me to the genius of this business model. Honest hard work for a fair price. They are packed with clients, clippers buzz, chit chat commences and peace falls upon the valley. You could raise the price, but then you would be the $11 haircut place... the $12.50 place... where would that end? I would like to believe that Villagers who frequent this place pay well in the tips so that the price stays flat and the line stays out the door. If you're interested in a decent cut for a price you could brag about, then give Brandi's Place a go. It does what you need and then some.

ONE STAR -- Second chance, same terrible customer service…read more My husband had a 9:30 appointment at Barbershop and Beers in Dunnellon. The barber didn't arrive until approximately 9:40. When we expressed frustration that his appointment hadn't started on time, they skipped him and took a walk-in who arrived after him. We know he arrived after us because we spoke with him before they called him back. Apparently, having an appointment and being there first still doesn't guarantee your turn. From our perspective, being passed over after raising a legitimate concern felt disrespectful and retaliatory. A late arrival could have been handled with a simple apology and an explanation. Instead, we were left watching someone who came after us get served first. This is the SECOND time we've experienced this kind of treatment here. We didn't leave a review the first time because we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Today was their second and final chance. Customers shouldn't have to stay silent about poor service to keep their place in line. Our time matters, too. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend taking your business somewhere else. We certainly will.

My family moved to Ocala in July of 2022 and decided to have this shop cut my son's and my hair. He…read morehad his cut twice and mine four times, so we have used them enough times to come to a decision not to go back. Upon first glance, the shop seems pretty clean, but at times got very loud, mostly due to the barbers all gabbing, which to me wasted their customer's time. I mean it's one thing to talk while you work, but another to stop working and have long conversations with each other. My son's hair turned out good the first time; however, on the second time the barber didn't cut it the way he wanted, which he has had his whole seventeen years and instead said it wouldn't look right and did his own thing. As for myself, I walked in the last four times without an appt and of course expecting to wait. The first time, I got the barber who was assigned to walk ins and only waited twenty minutes. The second time I got the same barber who was assigned walk ins, but he put an "appt" ahead of me when I had been there for thirty-five minutes. The third time I got what seemed to be a new barber in the second chair on the left when you walk in. He didn't quite get the haircut right, but after the wait I just said it was okay and left. It wasn't until I got home I realized he failed to shorten the part in my hair, which made my turn around time shorter for my fourth appt. On that appt I went in and there was only two barbers. The one that messed up last time and what I can only guess was the owner. The owner did not have a customer, so I asked if he could do my hair and he said, "I only take appointments.", which I found very unprofessional, since my hair would have taken him fifteen minutes tops. Instead of cutting my hair he gabbed with the other barber, messed around on his phone and then drove to the store for snacks. His next appt didn't show up for another ten minutes. This was pretty much the final straw, well, that and the fact that the same barber did another piss poor job. The shop charges more than twice as much as the All American Barbershop on SR 200 and Carrie really knows what she is doing. I would recommend the All American Barbershop to anyone looking for a real haircut for the right price.
