Simply know by locals in Sedalia as "The Barn" Heritage Ranch is indeed a barn, a barn constructed to look older than it is with a mix of recycled and new materials. In addition there are two. . .huts? One for the groom's wedding party and one for the brides. . .be warned. . .these are the only two areas with air conditioning and if you are going to have a wedding in anything other than winter that barn gets toasty. . .not toasty enough for me to dock a star but tosty enough for me to say that the family that ownes it might need to look into better cooling options than the random massive fans that were everywhere. . .pordable AC units are a thing. . . LADIES! The parking for the venu is a rock field, as in the roadway is made of loose rocks, bring flats or boots and switch to heels when you get to the barn. No really Don't try to do the lot in heels. Behind the barn sits a small play area for children that we found quite functional. Remember to READ what you are signing up for though because there is a lot of clean ups you will be responsible for, you turn everything back over the way you got it. Loved it, loved Sedalia A very good venue option for sure.

The positive: One of the only places in Jefferson City that allows dogs…read more The negative: This place smells like a kennel and cheap air freshener. I think a lot would be remedied if they would just clean it. The same coffee stain, hair ball, pet hair clump and used band-aid was in the lobby for our whole stay. There was broken glass by one of the entrances and I pulled my dog away just before she stepped in it. It remained for our whole stay. Our room had stains in the carpet and beard shavings in the sink. They have trash cans by the elevators. Over the course of our stay the trash bags just piled up higher and higher. If you need a staff, check outside, because they are probably smoking. We do know the cops know how to find this place... One morning our wake up call was a domestic disturbance yelling match with an arrest and flashing lights.

I stayed at this hotel in 2021 it wasn't the best but it was comfortable and I was going to make…read morethis my go-to spot whenever I was in the Jefferson area. I came again this year 2022 we had group reservations my room was okay however two other people in my party room was very disgusting one of the rooms had Crumbs from a previous occupant and both of the other rooms had a bad problem with roaches all in the bathroom sleeping area and in the kitchen area this time around the hotel was very dirty very little cleaning was done if I could just Summit down to what possibly was done new garbage bags were put in and that's about it. Covid has opened the window for people at work to just bum around half do their job but get paid still the same I was very turned off by the cleaning crew in the hallways on their phones and gossiping if the rooms had been clean it maybe wouldn't have bothered me so much but if they focused on cleaning those rooms instead of riding the clock they wouldn't have such a bad roach problem. If I may say so this is the one thing that really pissed me off I was coming back for the day and the guy at the front desk asked how many people was in my party and gave us complimentary snacks which was a bag of popcorn when I got back to my room I looked at the date and it was a year old that's when I realize I will never return to this slum of a hotel again. If you are a person who love the movie Joe's Apartment this hotel is for you and if you're single and feeling lonely don't worry you won't be the only one in the rooms!
