I moved into his property sight unseen because I came out of state and it had cockroaches when I first was there! It took two months to get rid of them completely. He tries to use he is a veteran to do business to say how good of a man he is but he is extremely evil.His wife is not any better. Stay far away from them. I am a veteran myself and would never treat someone or talk to someone the way he does his clients. I signed for another year or my contract would of ended in June 2017. They make you resign around April or they start showing your property. I decided to move because I was watching some coworkers dogs while they went home on a four day, they are current soldiers and it was easier to make the trip without their pups, he called and started cursing at me telling me he didn't want no fucking extra dogs in the house and I needed to get them the fuck out of there and it better not happen again. Well that happened in May so I decided I would not do business with landlord who would talk to a tenant like that. He had no right that was the first time he ever had to call me for anything. My bills were always on time and the lawn was always mowed, I was a model tenant. I then informed him end of May I would be moving out on 30 June 2017 my original lease date. He then started telling me I had to pay him three months rent and long list of items. I then researched the law for myself and called a lawyer. When I informed him the lawyer told me I do not have to pay three months rent and that if I paid that then he got another tenant he would be breaking the law by banking my money and the tenants money. He then said and I have witnesses to this as my mother was there, Where did you find this lawyer the bathroom? I then told him I didn't like being spoke to that way and he made me uncomfortable so I was getting off the phone. He then proceeded to harass me saying he had showings then they would be no shows. He called my house disgusting then when I asked what he found to be disgusting he could not say anything. I am a very clean person. He was just trying to make claims about the property because he was aware I had a lawyer. After his first showing when he said it was dirty I informed him I would be present for all future showings and that's when he started to have no show appointments taking me away from my job and causing me to miss work. He wrote things on the checkout sheet that was not true. . Then when I moved he tried to say I left the house in filth when I left it in better condition then when I moved in. He will charge you for anything he can and he will try to get all the money he can out of you. He put he had to do paint spotting and charge $300. I never hung anything on the walls. That is a reason i decided to buy a house to make it a home. He charged me for janitorial serves $325 and that house was cleaner then when i moved in. He lies about all he can and tries to bully. Just stay far away from him. I think he forgets we all have to answer for actions before God one day. I pray he lets go of his greed and starts being an honest business man. Just stay clear of him. He may have served this country but he does not give a damn about the people he does business with all he wants is money. I have never met another veteran with such greed and hatred in his heart. According to him, when I contacted them about issues with the house throughout the year we were there, he told me "You got the Worst Tenant of the Year Award." Real professional, Rick. Do not listen to tenants (deadbeats) complain when held accountable. Rick's integrity is beyond reproach. He requires renters to abide by the terms of the rental agreement and clean (not just tidy up) when they leave.
