There are no directional signs or informational plaques for guidance. We found a boat launch but no historical info.

Our cruise was quite full, so I would recommend getting their around 20 minutes early if you have a preference of where you sit. The ticket prices felt very fair as they were about $15 each for a 45 minute ride. It is in the heart of downtown so its mainly street parking, there is a paid lot slightly further down that is 12 dollars for the day. The cruise itself is fun as you float down the canal and learn more about the history in the area. We went around 3pm which was the perfect time as it wasn't too hot but still sunny enough to enjoy. While I had a great time, I think it was more so a novel experience. The ride felt a bit short with the sights remaining quite consistent since the canal is small/short. I don't think I would do it again as it would feel repetitive, but for the first time canal cruiser I think they would have a great time!

I'm really glad I did since it ended up being a great experience for everyone. Everyone had a good time, and it was a relaxing ride. I definitely recommend it if you're looking to learn a little more about Richmond or just want something low-key and enjoyable to do on a nice day

From the moment we stepped onto the vintage-style trolley,  we were swept away by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the infectious energy of our guide Daniel Ellis Daniel provided us with the perfect balance of fun and informative -- packed with fascinating stories about Richmond's rich history, from Civil War landmarks to modern revitalization projects. He is incredibly knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor, weaving in personal anecdotes, quirky facts, and local tips that you just wouldn't get anywhere else. What truly made the experience special was how interactive and engaging it felt. The trolley itself was spotless and super comfortable, with great views from every seat. We even got some time to hop off and explore a couple of key spots, which made it feel more like an immersive adventure than a typical tour. Whether you're a history buff, a foodie, or just looking to see the city from a new perspective, RVA on Wheels delivers an unforgettable experience. It made me question if they are properly insured as motor vehicles. (Hence the 3 star rating) But I went anyway (trusting in my own coverage if there were to be an incident), and it was fun. The heated seats in the tuktuk were working more in some seats than others, but it was warm enough for me that it didn't matter to me to get a non-heated seat. We did see quite a few houses, and we did get a lot of interesting looks from passersby. I wouldn't want to do this on a particularly cold or rainy day though - I could see it being miserable in those conditions. The route seemed pretty random, as we only crossed paths with the other tuktuk in our party a few times, like the driver was taking us to his faves. The worst part of our trip was that Ownby Fr was all torn up for construction, so it was a rough ride, but hopefully that will improve soon.

Heated seats, BYOB which is always great, Christmas music playing. Not as many lights as last year, not RVA TukTuk's fault, of course. Please note, they add an 18% gratuity to two or more tuktuks. This was probably in the fine print but it wasn't obvious. We tipped a bit in cash and came home to an email that we would be automatically charged for an 18% tip ($100+). The drivers did not mention this.

And they all were great!! This is a walking tour and luckily the weather on June 7th was perfecto!!! Our tour guide Leah (Aleah maybe) was very informative and excited to show us around. The group consisted mostly of couples that seemed to be familiar with the surroundings. However, my guest and I were new to the tour and very much new to the Richmond's food scene. Therefore, we were already excited to be there and to experience some of VCU's Alternative Eats (that was the name of the tour)!! We were encouraged to wear comfy shoes of course and the meeting spot was a museum on VCU's campus. Most of the tours are walking tours, but Leah informed me about one (or two maybe) tour is on a bus throughout Richmond. The tours are held every weekend rain or shine. We parked on the street (2 hour parking) but the tour was from 2-430pm so we figured oh no...better get money out for the towing company. We didn't return to the car until 5ish but the car was still there unticketed...yes!!! All the places on the tour were great in their own way. This was a great group and I liked them all. If you want to try something new for cheap (take into acct two people at a restaurant spending about $50...but you get to go to 5 restaurants for $110) in my opinion, I definitely recommend it. They don't tell you the restaurants ahead of time so it's a hit or miss I assume, but being that our tour guide is a reviewer herself, I doubt she would set you up for failure. It's definitely ideal to not eat before the tour because after the 3rd stop I was full!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the portions are hearty, not finger foods on this tour. I can't wait to go back and try another area in Richmond... Have fun! The Black Sheep was feature on Man vs Food...fyi :) Also the tour guides up to 15 people Tickets are purchased in advance Check em out :)

Despite that, I arrived on time but other guests did not and arrived over 30 minutes late. My 1 hour ghost tour was 3 hours long. However, I really enjoyed the ghost tour guide and the content was Ok. The content of the two hour trolley tour was really informative and comprehensive but the trolley struggled to get up many of the hills in Richmond and was loud and the exhaust smelly. Having the older, southern gentleman tour guide refer to me as a yankee I did not appreciate- not because it isn't true but because I was raised in the deep south and more southern than him. Asking questions was not encouraged on the trolley tour.
