I inquired via their website (Desert Sun Toyota specifically, not Desert Sun Motors), and was contacted by an employee who set me up with an appointment with Mr. Saul Velasco. It was a perfect match! Not only is Saul extremely personable, friendly, charismatic, but he is honest, upfront, and looking out for your best interest. I was torn between two vehicles and he helped me decide by looking at short term and long term goals. He was practical, helpful, knowledgeable, and overall just made me feel super comfortable and confident in doing business with him. You go into car dealerships expecting to get slighted or cheated in some way. I am a huge skeptic. I don't trust easily, but Saul earned my trust and I can vouch for him for sure. I purchased a used vehicle and she is running fine. We had a little hiccup within the first 15 days of purchase, but Desert Sun Motors took care of the problems without any chargers. They were minor issues and they handled them. She's running fine *knock on wood*. Working with Saul was incredible. The money was handled with a gentlemen named Nick who isn't as warm as Saul, but he got the job done. There are plenty of dealerships in the area and lots of competition. Add Desert Sun Toyota to your list of places to check out. If you do not want to go in person, then look at their website online and see what they have in stock. Check out Desert Sun Toyota and ask for Saul! :)

My latest experience with Casa Toyota was not good. After seeing on the Toyota site that the exact…read morevehicle I was looking for was being built within a month or so but was targeted for another dealer, Casa told me that they could have the car diverted to them... and that this type of "swapping" is routinely done between dealers. I left a $500 deposit. Six weeks went by and they finally called and said the car had come in and was ready to pick up. Upon arrival, it didn't seem like the right color. After further inspection of the "manufacturer sticker", it was determined that it was not the VIN number that the deal had been based on. They played dumb and acted surprised... but it was all a ruse to deliver the wrong car. Even after they were caught, they went so far as to tell me that the VIN changes after they build the vehicle. What nonsense. The VIN is a unique alphanumeric code that stays with a specific vehicle and never changes! I demanded and got my $500 back. This is the kind of deception that gives car dealers a very bad name. Unfortunately, ALL car dealerships are awful... and Casa Toyota is no exception. Whether it's sales, financing, or service... don't be fooled by their pleasant demeanor. The personnel lie, deceive, and cheat customers on a daily basis, so they're quite good at it. Trust nothing, verify everything. Double-check all figures and math. Don't rely on verbal agreements. If something doesn't seem right, it's probably not. When buying a vehicle, it's always a good plan to retain an experienced assistant to advise and help broker a deal. Car dealerships have a bad reputation for a reason, but if you know what to expect you can minimize issues.
