I then explained that I would like Serge to represent me for family court which was next week. She laughed, shared that the lawyer was unavailable and continued to explain the process of getting a consult, retaining, and then attending court. I responded with "that's why you laughed at me" she explained that he wasn't available with such short notice. I will not recommend this Law Office to anyone because the lady was very unprofessional, and rude. Even if he was available I wouldn't have followed through.

This was by far the worst law firm I have dealt w when assuming a mortgage. Spoke only once to an…read moreactual lawyer, the rest of the time w the clerk. Email correspondence was the primary contact and it took nearly a week each time to have the clerk email me back. Each time she apologized and said she was busy w other clients (obviously my $1800 wasn't that important to them), they did however cut me an $85 break on the overall bill. The clerk emailed me on the closing date and said the mortgage was closed and was in my name. It wasn't. The mortgage came out of the previous owners account and I had to pay him. The mortgage wasn't closed until 2 weeks past the closing date. The clerk failed to take responsibility for the law firms inability to do their job properly, first blaming the bank, then me (for not just doing a new mortgage instead of requiring a mortgage assumption). Clearly this law firm either did not have the time or did not know how to accomplish this. In either case the law clerk should have explained the situation and I would have shopped elsewhere for a law firm to do this task for me. What should have been a very easy job turned into a nightmare. I highly recommend you shop elsewhere for a real estate lawyer.
