They're all happy to see their students grow and be their best selves. -The place is very clean and full of professional and mature individuals who *mostly* take responsibility to clean to - which is truly saying something. - I have never been to a gym to welcoming and friendly. I usually just like to go in, do my thing, and get out. There are strong bonds formed here strengthened with every class we suffer through. Everyone has different goals and reasons for being there but we all support each others journey. Very much an "each one teach one" vibe. - also the Jocko supplements are actually really good. I hope to see more of that. The only thing I wish they had was a regular clock in the weight room and cross-fit room. I leave my watch at home when at the gym and I feel like I have to look at my phone every 5 min not wanting to miss class. Update: coming up in 2 years training with this gym. Even with a fire that took it down and a second location opened up within just a few months the management is still quite professional and the coaches are awesome. Looking forward to the old building opening back up.

PLEASE READ, THEN SIGN UP FOR A MEMBERSHIP!…read more I work in the mental health field and was looking for a Jiu-Jitsu gym that offered more than just training. I wanted a place that felt like a true wellness space where I could bring clients for Jiu-Jitsu, fitness, and recovery. This place exceeded all my expectations. The facility has everything you could ask for. Clean, spacious mats, restrooms and showers, lockers, a fully equipped gym, and recovery options like a cold plunge, infrared sauna, and professional massage chairs. Everything is very clean. You can tell right away, even by how fresh the place smells. One of the best parts is the location. If you are a surfer like me, it is within walking distance of Tourmaline Surf Park, which makes it perfect to train after a session in the water. Parking is also very easy. I usually find a spot within 30 to 60 seconds since it is in a residential area and quieter during the times I train. They offer a variety of classes for all levels, along with yoga and personal training. What really stands out though is the community. Everyone is welcoming, supportive, and easy to get along with. If you are thinking about checking it out, this is your sign. Come try it for yourself. You will not regret it.

If you're visiting San Diego or looking for a home academy, this place is absolutely worth checking out.

Best decision I made. The professors are outstanding, the coaches are amazing, and my teammates/drilling partners are super friendly. This whole community they have built is invested in your journey and are ready and willing to assist in any way. A huge plus - the women's community is strong! Come check this school out - you definitely won't regret it. Kiddo Review- 5 year old says she'd give it a 100/100. 4 year old said she wants to do jiu jitsu everyday. As the mom, I've seen the kiddo class grow. The professors and coaches are super approachable and incredible with the kiddos. My 5 year old asked Prof. Amit if he'd train her to compete! That is kind of approachability this school has. If you have a kiddo looking - please check this school out! Let your jiu jitsu journey begin here - we are waiting to welcome you!

Master Sam is one of the most amazing teachers we have ever had the pleasure of seeing in action! He provides just the right balance of encouragement, discipline and drive. Master Sam is a great motivator who definitely seems to understand what each of these kids are capable of -- and he doesn't let them get away with anything less than what he knows they can achieve. In just a couple months, he has helped my shy and fairly non-athletic son gain new skills, focus and confidence with each class. We did a free trial class first and while my son was clearly struggling, Master Sam was incredibly patient, attentive and encouraging. My son ended up coming home that day determined to learn how to do a somersault, and ended up practicing on the bed everyday. Just a month later, he has been running confidently into a jump somersault and beaming with pride. My son comes home from class each time wanting practice the moves (to the chagrin of my sofa cushions) and eager to show Daddy & his grandparents videos of his class. We have been incredibly impressed with our son's rapid progress -- but most of all-- super thrilled with how genuinely excited he is about learning Tae Kwon Do! Thank you Master Sam!

He solicited us for martial arts classes and to purchase an e-bike bike. We did buy a bike and when we returned it quite quickly because we did not get an e-bike - but rather a non-working bike... We were told this was warranted as it was brand news... I had an extremely disappointing experience with this bike shop, and it's less about the bike itself and more about how the owner handled the situation. We visited the shop immediately when we noticed pieces breaking off the bike, the bike not charging, and the battery not holding any capacity. This forced my son to use it as a traditional bike, which defeated the purpose of the purchase. Every time we returned, the owner called me a liar and spoke to me condescendingly, often bringing up the fact that I'm a woman. When my son, who is on the autism spectrum, initially bought the bike with his own money using a Venmo debit card, he was excited about his first bike. Unfortunately, all interactions with the owner since then have been highly contentious. When we explained the issues, the owner would repeatedly dismiss our concerns and call me a liar. We even requested a refund, but instead, we ended up spending about $200 more to have the bike assessed, only to find out it was assembled incorrectly, the motor wasn't working, and the battery was dead. I emailed the owner, stating that he had plenty of time to remedy the issue and could do the right thing by replacing the battery, especially since he had taken advantage of a 14-year-old autistic child. However, he continued to be belligerent and contentious, often cussing at me. My son no longer feels comfortable approaching the owner because of his mean demeanor. We're now stuck with an $1800 bike that never worked. We will be taking this matter to the ADA enforcement agency that protects those with disabilities. I strongly advise against allowing your children to be around this man, as he takes advantage of children and disrespects women. This will be how your family will be approached
