I was a big fan of the Rib Crib on Meridian Avenue until it closed down. I have visited this restaurant a few times in the past and I thought the service and food was pretty decent. Then I decided to order online tonight. The baby back ribs were slightly overcooked, the mashed potatoes and gravy was really good, the green beans were ok and the Texas toast was cold. The thing that really shocked and disappointed me though was that I watched my cashier go back to the kitchen and place a plastic bag in the microwave for two minutes, then empty it out into a go container. This was peach cobbler. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that a barbecue place would not make peach cobbler fresh and from scratch. We've been there 5-6 times and the service has been subpar every time. From getting our orders wrong, shorting us food, not refilling drinks when the restaurant is slow, not checking on our table, getting the check wrong. I have not been here yet where the service is at least average. The rib crib in my home town (Mcalester, ok) is amazing and I ate there every day for lunch (literally), but I will not ever step foot in this particular rib crib ever again. If the management ever reads this, you have failed at your job as a leader and as a trainer to your employees, get some employees in there who know what they're doing for once. The restaurant is always very cold as well, no matter what time of year we've been in there. This BBQ placed has improved greatly over the last year or so. The quality of the food being served is better. They used to serve tough ribs, but the last few times I have eaten here they were delicious. I have also noticed that the ratings for this place on social media have improved as well. Horrible Horrible Horrible. Poor service and even worse food. We ordered the sandwich that had brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. It came out cold and we sent it back right away. Where we were sitting you could see right into the kitchen. We saw our waitress hand the food to someone back there and he immediately stuck it in the microwave and just sent it back to us. We were in shock! We asked to speak to the manager and turns out the man who put the food in the microwave was the Manager. He came over and apologized for doing that and of course tried to say they normally don't do that, they take pride in the food, blah blah blah... don't waste your time or money coming to this location. Tried Rib Crib in Yukon out again today and honestly it seems a changed place. There was a man and woman on site, either or both could have been mgt and the staff and attitude seems a lot better. I have been here several times. I have had both good and bad experiences. Tuesday's are all you can eat ribs and you can choose from a couple different kinds. A few of the times that I have been, the ribs were dry and appeared to have been setting out for a while. If you can get it fresh they are good though. read more

Hubby and I were driving from the east to the west coast and were spending the night in Yukon, OK. All day we had been seeing signs for BBQ so we were craving some good down home Q. I hoped on the laptop and found reviews here for some local mom and pop places that looked good but... they were closed on Sunday, and of course it was Sunday! That left us driving back into Oklahoma City (which isn't that far but after two days in the car and two more ahead of us it wasn't appealing) for BBQ or going to a chain that was only 2 miles from the hotel. We decided to give Rib Crib a try. We ordered take out since we were traveling with our pets and it was a little warm to leave them in the car. When we got out of the car the smokey, yummy aroma made us instantly hungry! We couldn't wait to get back to the hotel! I ordered a 3-meat combo (so I could share with the dog) and got the chopped brisket, St. Louis style ribs and pulled pork. My sides were fries and broccoli. Hubby ordered the Catfish Combo with fried catfish and sliced brisket, fries and beans. Let me just say that we were totally impressed with everything! The fries were just fries but the broccoli was fresh and cooked just right - not all soggy. The beans were sweet, meaty and smokey.The ribs were tender and had a light, flavorful rub. The pork and chopped brisket were beyond tender and delicious. I used the mild BBQ sauce on mine and it was sweet, tangy and just a touch smokey - perfect. Hubby liked the hot BBQ sauce and said it had a good flavor and a little bit of a kick to it. We were quite pleased and full (huge portions) and the dog enjoyed plentiful leftovers. We have never heard of Rib Crib before now but we will certainly look for it in our travels! The take-out service was fast and friendly! read more

I had the dry rub baby back ribs. The flavor was good, but the ribs were over cooked and dry to the point of being almost like jerky on one end of the rack. I think I will order brisket if I go back next time I am in town. read more

I have tried every day for 2 weeks to order 2 pounds of sliced brisket. They never have it and want to push chopped brisket down my throat. You have the WORST SERVICE of any Rib Crib in this state. The people who answer your phone are not well trained. They will giggle and laugh in your ear. They could care less about good service. It's not a priority. I've been patronizing this location since it opened. No more. I am done. And I am getting the word out in every review I can. read more

BBQ is ok. Last time I was there service was horrible. Took 20-30 minutes to get our drink order taken, group of 4 and was not even close to being busy. It then took another hour to get our food served. We got our meal comped but that lack of service was enough to make me stay away. read more

I have never eaten at a rib crib so I was super excited when my hubby asked if I wanted to eat here. I can't remember what it was that I ordered but it was like a sample platter thing. I had pulled pork, a rib, chicken , brisket and a few side orders. Over all the food was amazing and our waitress was super nice and she was great at refilling our drinks. There are four of us who go to the RibCrib frequently. Several times we have had Riley. We were there last weekend and she was our server again. She always has a smile on her face and has a sense of humor (which is needed with our group!). She is such a wonderful person and a great server. Imagine our sadness when she told us she is being let go October 1st because of the new liquor laws. Just want to let everyone know the last time we went to Ribcrib the service was horrible, but the food was fantastic. Our waitress is the worst they could ever get there. We had her more t Han once and every time we get her she never smiles and very slow. The customer across from us complaint about her as well as us on how bad she was. We were there 20 minutes and all we got was our drink, she walked pasted us about a dozen times and never tooled our order, never looked at us or did she say anything to us. Finally, she walked buy after another 10 minutes and turn around and said I'll be right with you. Than she comes and said I am so sorry about this, I have been so busy, really women you been standing around doing nothing. If you can not handle a crowd of people than quit. Total time waiting till we got our order taken and our food was about 40 minutes total and this was even talking to the manager and he said he will make it right. I told the manager we will not sit in her section again, if it is hers we will move and he said it's fine. She is a skinny blond girl that never smiles and always looks mad. My wife and I had the pleasure of dinning at the Rib Crib in Yukon, Oklahoma and I must say these ribs were absolutely excellent. Some of the best that We have had. The server (DREA) was extremely respectful and she stayed dedicated to our table and For an older couple we really felt like she spoiled us. The food was awesome and the general attitude was great. the rub on the ribs was sub par. potatoe salad was not good. and do not. i repeat! do not! order the peach cobbler! it was overcooked on the edge, doughy in the middle. and wasnt even sweet. and is not served with icecream. cant have the name rib crib and serve sub par ribs. read more

Indifferent service, my order was slightly wrong, and poor quality food. The potato was undercooked, and the pulled pork was mushy, as if it were boiled, or sat in water. It smells great when you walk in, and goes down from there. There are much better bbq options in Yukon. read more

Unprofessional very ratty looking, if I was a manager i would've asked her to clean herself up, and to better manage her table placement. Tonight was the first time we have ever been there. We thought with a name like "rib crib," you should get the ribs. So, we did. Maybe it was a bad night, but our ribs were basically beef jerky with some sauce on it. The only reason this isn't a one star is because I liked their smoked sausage. I was in town on business and decided to try this place out, not knowing anything about the chain or having checked it out on here. I wish I had. There wasn't one person older than 20 or 21 working in there and it showed. The ribs were fatty and poorly 'rubbed', lacking flavor other than that of fat. The shrimp that came as part of the combo were overly battered and of extremely poor quality. Both the corn and the mac + cheese were served cold and when I pointed that out to my server, they were both whisked away to the kitchen where I could see the dishes being placed in the microwave. Here is a tip for restaurant owners- if you want to zap food at least hide it in the back! The final point is that the staff clearly wanted to go home. I was having a meeting before the food and we were visited 4 times in 20 minutes to ask if we could order now. I was thrilled when a couple walked in about 10 minutes before we paid our bill. This was nothing short of a terrible food experience, so much so that I remarked to my fiance that it was the sort of food that an airline wouldn't even serve. read more
