Medicine and quality physician care is one area where I will never skimp. I researched excellent internists before coming to Dr. Tagdiri. I even posted a thread on the app "Next Door" dedicated to finding an excellent internist. Those recommendations were only the beginning. Then I conducted extensive background and training checks. This was how I narrowed my selection to Dr. Tagdiri. I love this wonderful Physician. His office staff are easy to deal with and are great at scheduling appointments so there is never a long wait. Dr. Tagdiri gave me my first extensive physical exam and in the process discovered a heart irregularity. I'm scheduled with an excellent cardiologist to check that out this afternoon. When my neighbor recommended Dr. Tagdiri she described him as "a great internist and an incredible person". I've come to see her point. He's both. I came down with an awful case of Chronic Bronchitis this past winter. My lungs were wheezing and I have never coughed so hard in my life. My insurance refused to cover the cost of an inhaler. I was tight for money and unable to justify paying cash. We pay so very much for our insurance and money was tight. I explained this to Dr. Tagdiri. A few moments later he excused himself from the room and returned with a sample inhaler (which gave me 30 days of treatments) that he gave me free of charge. Final note: I am not a Concierge patient at all. Just a regular patient the same as everybody else.

I also appreciate the welcoming feel of the front office; it truly makes a difference!!

They even took my mom's blood pressure manually without being asked, knowing the automatic cuff can be uncomfortable. I went to North Coast Cardiology for routine surgical clearance and had a very poor experience…read more During the visit, I felt repeatedly pressured to undergo additional testing. For the first test, I was told, "Your insurance will pay for it, so you might as well do it." I agreed based on that representation. A second, much more expensive test was presented in a way that relied heavily on fear and uncertainty. After asking the doctor several times whether it was truly necessary, and finally asking whether he would personally spend $1,000 on it under the same circumstances, he said no, so I declined. Despite that, the office later scheduled me for the test I had declined. Worse, the first test was submitted to insurance in a way that resulted in a denial, and I was billed for the full amount. I have called and emailed Emma in billing multiple times to discuss the charge, but no one has responded. Between the pressure to purchase additional testing, the incorrect scheduling, the unexpected bill, and the complete lack of follow-up, this was an extremely disappointing customer experience. There are many cardiology practices to choose from, so I am sharing my experience to help others make an informed decision.
