It's so important for us to have wonderful vets. La Cueva always goes above and beyond for us. Recently I took one of our sweet chickens in to see Dr. Courtney. She took wonderful care of our feather baby, called us with reports and gave first class care all around. It's so nice to see such a thoughtful and kind person who understands how much we love our chickens just like our fur babies. Dr Walker Sr. is also first class. He worked closely with me to save a tiny bottle baby kitten who's thriving and happy now. He always goes above and beyond for our animals. I also can't say enough good things about Linda at front desk and the rest of the staff. Everyone is always helpful and cheerful. Everyone there is a true animal lover. I think their prices are very fair given the service we get too. What a blessing it is to have them here in Carlsbad.

I live in Los Angeles but was traveling to Artesia, New Mexico for a funeral and I needed to find a…read moreplace I could leave my pooch while we were at the church and the repast. I reached out to Linda, and, even though I was asking for services that were outside her normal business hours she worked with me to provide a safe place for my baby. My dog is rarely left in a kennel and I was a bit nervous leaving her behind but when I came to get her, she seemed confident following Linda out of the area where she was kept while I was gone. That made me feel like she must have had a good experience with Linda and put me at ease. The only thing that was a "negative" and not even worth taking away a star is that Linda only takes cash or checks and I am strictly a credit card girl (gimmee ALL the points), but the value of the service is wonderful and she even gave us a little gift bag and a report card when we left. It had some nice pens, good treats and a little plushie that Riley has taken an instant liking to - she was even using it as a pillow this morning, back at home, when I left for work. Thanks Linda, I appreciate all that you did for us at a difficult time.

Sheila was so kind and helped me get my head on my shoulders so I could help my sweet pup. Dr. Castro took me through the whole process. She is truly a gift to this world. She has a huge heart. I had been afraid of this day for so long, but I really couldn't have imagined a more peaceful transition. This is a day I will remember forever.
