So if you're at Washington State Park or somewhere between DeSoto, MO and Potosi, MO, this store will be your stop! You can get food, clothes, housewares, toys, personal care products, limited camping supplies, pet food, household cleaning supplies, cards, school supplies, inexpensive gifts...you name it. If you need it, the Dollar General will have it or something close enough to get you by. This spot has friendly staff, ample parking, very easy access and visibility along the highway, and is clean.

ALTHOUGH, last time I went in there I was sorely disappointed and the meat department. I don't know if it was incompetence or laziness.....I asked to have a 5lbs bottom round sliced at 1/4 inch for jerky. The guy asked if he could do that to another employee and I explained (I shouldn't have to) that I've had it done before. This is the butcher area of the meat department......a lady walked up and tells me it will take forever to get done . I said "to slice a 5lbs bottom round?" She said "ya, you usually need to call in a day before to have something like this done so we have time." Absolutely mind blown . It's take 3-4 minutes tops to slice one. Mind you, this is after I explained I've had it done multiple times. I just laughed and left. I didn't even trust them to slice it at this point. She told me it would take approximately 1 hour to accomplish lol. I left and had it down somewhere else in under 10 minutes. While this place is usually just OKAY, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth after this interaction. Obviously I'll still go back for some things, but I'll be avoiding this meat department. I would rather pay a little more somewhere else than deal with that type of service again.

It wasn't another 5 minutes another worker came in so l'm guessing the first one was supposed to be there before 7 and the last one before 8 am. Well kudos to the second one bc she was on time. The first shouldn't be opening the store she has no concept of time and isn't very good at her job. But let's face it in this age of life and work people like her will be given a manger spot and never have a clue about working for a single thing in life.
