I only give them a second star since they're the only game in town - literally. If you want internet without satellite latency issues or cell tower dropping issues, this is it unless you choose to erect a 200 foot high tower in your yard. If there was anything else that didn't require the erection of a two hundred foot high tower in my yard, I'd have switched ages ago. They don't actually serve up the internet. They serve you their cache of that page so the news you're reading might be hours or days old. Do not beleive what they tell you about bandwidth. We've never ever once gotten the bandwidth that we pay for. They have problems all the time that cause service to be out for extended periods of time. The service engineers, with a couple of exceptions, are pretty clueless. *I* have to go diagnose their problem in order to get them to fix it. For those who understand this, it doesn't matter if my radio is still taking to the tower if you DNS name resolution isn't working or if the hops for me to get from house to Google start to exceed 255 hops (the max allowed before it dies) or taking long enough to time out. Their customer service is HORRIBLE. I've been screamed at and hung up on by the customer dis-service reps. It's a good thing the call center is in Durant, OK and not Leonard, TX. If it had been closer to home, I'd have had to roll up on them and explained the error of their ways to them as only a rompin' stompin' red head can do. read more

My service has been down more in the few months since Rhino has taken over ERF Wireless than it has been in the last 6+ years. Now after being down a week and told every time I call it was their tower, I'm told the tower is finally up and it could be my antenna now and it will take 2 weeks for a technician to come check. They up their fees and provide less service. read more

Customer Service Call: Called to pay my bill, however I had a $0 balance, so I asked the rep when my next bill was due, and he smarted off with 'the same time its due every month', (in shock) I told him 'I do not have my bill with me, can you please look it up' (if it was due soon I would just pay it now), his response then was 'I GUESS I CAN LOOK IT UP!'. Living in a rural area we are limited on internet service. For years we have had trouble with our internet connection with this company. And when inquiring as to the reason we are without internet, it is usually due to tower outages at least 300 miles away from our home! However, I am seriously searching and shopping for a better internet company (even my phone provider) who can give internet that does not go out ever y 3-10 minutes! This latest occurance has been going on for nearly 6 weeks. The technician told they are waiting on fiber optic cable to update our area. Well, in the meantime we have a business to run and need a solid, reliable internet that will not flake out every 3 minutes. Sounds like the company is undersupplied with their equipment and maxed out on customers to heavy for their grid! SO UNHAPPY! read more
