Roc Family Chiro I…read morerecently brought my newborn daughter to Rochester Family Chiropractic to see Dr. Kelsey Pierce. My daughter was diagnosed with a tongue tie at birth, but we didn't start noticing issues until she was about three weeks old. By four weeks, we made the difficult decision to have her tongue tie clipped with the help of a lactation specialist. After the procedure, my daughter struggled to latch and breastfeed. I felt defeated and questioned whether I had made the right decision. That's when I reached out to Rochester Family Chiropractic--and I'm incredibly grateful they were able to get us in to see Dr. Kelsey Pierce. Dr. Pierce provided outstanding support and care. Over the next few weeks, she worked with my daughter to strengthen her oral muscles and release built-up tension in her body--two key factors that significantly improved her ability to breastfeed successfully. One of the things I really appreciate about Dr. Pierce is how thoroughly she explains each adjustment and exercise, along with the reasoning behind them. She also taught me exercises to do at home to maintain our progress between visits. Thanks to Dr. Pierce's patience, guidance, and exceptional care, I'm happy to say that we're still breastfeeding at 4.5 months--and I truly don't think that would have been possible without her.

I even underwent surgery that turned out to be unnecessary and far from beneficial. When I saw Dr. Johnstone he made the quick assumption based on reading my case that there was an issue with my iliotibial band behind my left knee. His assumption was correct and through several appointments of Active Release Treatment/ Laser Therapy over a surprisingly short 2 month period, I was able to once again partake in all the physical activities I love!! Dr. Johnstone solved a problem in 2 months that other doctors continuously failed to solve for two straight years. Making my first appointment at VAC was legitimately one of the best decisions of my life and I wish I could've made it a lot sooner!
