Four of his team mates went to Dr. Odulio for their previous ACL injuries so they recommended him to my husband. On his first visit to his clinic, hubby was already impressed with his expertise as he specializes in Sports Medicine. We initially wanted his surgery to take place in a hospital here in the south, but since hubby liked Dr. Odulio to perform the operation, he had the surgery in Makati Med instead. The process was quick and successful. The doctor advised my husband to start therapy after a few months, and we would go to him for monthly checkup so he could track my husband's progress. He would always encourage hubby to go back to his usual routine of jogging and going to the gym and even playing basketball six months after the surgery, ensuring him that his ACL has already healed. It's been more than a year since the surgery, and my husband is back to his fighting form, playing competitive basketball every weekend. I think he's eternally grateful to Dr. Odulio for helping him overcome his knee injury and giving him the confidence to play sports again.

His orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Odulio holds clinic at the Philippine Orthopedic Institute in Makati. The use of Philippine in the name made me think that they were connected to the government, but they are actually a group of orthopedic specialists holding private practice in the country. And though they just occupy two floors in a small building in the city, the place has merits. The lobby is elegant and spacious; they have complete facilities like an x-ray room, examination room and clinics for the doctors, and a whole floor dedicated to rehabilitation and therapy. The staff were very accommodating. Ms. Lauren, Dr. Odulio's secretary is very approachable and promptly responds to calls or text messages. The physical therapists were patient and skillful enough to train my husband and motivate him every time he goes to therapy. Hubby's knees have recovered and he's playing basketball again. And despite his busy schedule, he squeezes in a visit to POI once in a while to see his doctor and thanks his therapists there.

I was comfortable from the moment I entered her office. Dr. Agno is very respectful, polite, kind and knowledgeable. Based on my account, she immediately knew that iIwas suffering from an allergy from the pollutants/elements that were in the air due to New Year's celebrations and my extensive exposure to second-hand cigarette smoke (I'm allergic).
