She finally went to get an audiogram and, yep, a hearing aid was necessary. She had her choice of facilities because almost no insurance covers hearing aids. This Center (which has a sister facility in Covington) came highly recommended by a family friend who is an MD. I went with my Mom to ask questions and help her decide what was best for her. The audiologist was great. She explained everything in a clear and understandable way. She was personable and put my Mom at ease. She showed how to maintain her hearing aid and some ways to extend battery life. I was super impressed with this location and would highly recommend the clinic for anyone who is need of an audiologist or hearing aids.

I must say I started out sceptically because of difficulties with other providers. This is my fourth set in over twenty years. Insurance has begun to cover hearing aids like never before. It creates possibilities for more functional feature rich hearing aids at little or no expense. Michele the owner had great patience and understanding. She also had excellent knowledge about technical aspects and fine tuning these incredible instruments to meet you hearing loss. The quality of her lines and her prices are the most competitive. She and her staff are absolute professionals. They listen closely to your needs, and then resolve your hearing problems quickly, accurately and fit it into your budget. I urge you not to walk around saying "what" or turning up your TV to maximum volume. If you're a senior with one of these new supplements to Medicare you must stop in. Ms Zeevi was clear and precise in her explanations of what I would experience as well as in her determination of the results using appropriate terminology without jargon. Moreover, after a scope exam of both ears, which I was able to view in real-time, I received valuable information vital to ear hygiene as well as methods for protecting hearing and preventing future damage and subsequent hearing loss. The exam took less than half an hour yet was thorough, and I received a printout of the results with an explanation of the graph. The detail and quality of the exam, and the overall professional customer service and analyses all are good reasons to use this service, but so is the fact that Hear Now is an independent woman-owned local business.

It started off good; I paid my co-pay and did the blood test. But I guess they didn't make enough…read moreoff that test because they then talked me into a second test, which was a skin test. I asked all the questions about my insurance covering it, what my cost would be, and "Are you sure they will pay for a second allergy test?" They assured me it was covered and said they already called and got approval, blah blah blah. Fast forward a week after the test: they call and say, "Oh, well, we got approval, but now they are saying it is not approved. This isn't your fault; I am going to talk to the Dr. to see if we can work with you on the payment or just wipe it because it is on us..." Fast forward another nine days and no call, no email, nothing--but they did send a bill. I am not upset about the money; if they had told me from the beginning so I could plan for it, I would have been okay with it. It's the surprise bill, the lack of communication, and the lying about "let me talk to the Dr. and call you right back" only to just send the bill anyway without even an explanation. I would have even respected a call saying, "I talked to the Dr., but we cannot waive the fee. I'm sorry." I would have responded with, "Thank you for trying." Anyway, save yourself from the greedy, money-grubbing, "only communicate when it's for getting money" doctors and try to find one that's honest. I have found a crackhead behind Walmart selling Flonase. Call me crazy, but I have a good feeling about him--well, better than this place, anyway.

The…read moreaudiology department took the time to review my daughter's complicated history and her special needs. We got our report within 2 weeks of the evaluation. If I could just rate them, I would give them 5 stars. If you need an audiologist, this would be the place to go. The speech services were not helpful. The speech therapist was not experienced in international adoption and did not understand my daughter's history. It took almost 3 months to get my report back (after I called several, several times). I felt like I wasted my money. You're better off elsewhere for speech services. If you have a deductible plan, they expect you to pay up front (not a problem). But if your insurance pays more and you are entitled to a refund, good luck getting it! It has been a month and I'm still waiting on my refund. I get the same excuse every time I call to check on my refund, "It will be mailed on this day or that day".
