After a day of shopping, we ladies were ready for a margarita! One of the group had visited this…read morelocation before and recommended we stop. This shop has a very small interior at a corner location. There are a few seats inside, and lots of seats outside making it a nice stop on a summers day to enjoy the breeze. Upon entering, I noticed they had empanadas! Well, after all the walking, a little snack was in order, and an empanada with my margarita was just what the doctor ordered! So, we all got one! The bar man was very friendly and chatted with us while we placed our orders. We chose some seats outside, under the umbrellas and sipped our frozen margaritas, which were wonderfully refreshing on a hot summers day, while we waited for the empanadas to arrive. They came each in it's own brown paper sack making it easy to hold the flaky morsel while keeping your hands clean. Napkins were placed on the table for our use as well. These empanadas are a good size for a snack. Not too large, not too small. If it were a meal, two may be in order. (They also sell other Mexican options, so you can 'mix it up': one empanada and one taco perhaps?) The crust was easy to bite into and held it's shape nicely (meaning it didn't fall apart). As crust goes, it was just your basic crust - this is not fancy food, it's street food - and the filling was very tasty. I would definitely get another next time I'm in town. Check out their website for specials and coupons!

What a cute little restaurant in the middle of lovely Torino…read more Me and my friend somehow stumbled upon this little place and it was amazing. Not only was the food and margaritas great, the staff were extremely hospitable and friendly. While, I have been to many taco places, this is probably my favorite taco place in the world. I would recommend getting two portions if you are hungry because they are comparatively smaller.

As a Texan living in Italy, it's safe to say I miss Mexican food. While El Centenario is certainly…read moreno Tex Mex, it is a pretty good substitute! They start you off with complementary chips and salsa, although the chips are not made in house. Salsa was a bit small, it would be nice if they gave you each a container per person! We got the half liter of frozen sangria which was tasty. We got a quesadilla with ground beef and cheese to start, the meat was super flavorful and I really liked it. It came with a sad tostada that had salad with super bland dressing and a couple olives. The tostada left a lot to be desired and we didn't wind up eating it. They need a proper tostada with beans, fresh lettuce, tomato, olive and cheese! For our entrees, I got the enchiladas which had steak, cheese and potatoes with a bit of salsa/red sauce and cheese melted on top. I've never had enchiladas with potatoes inside so found it a bit odd but overall I really liked them. It came with 3. I think it would be great if they just served 2, but added some beans and rice. If you want rice and beans, you need to order them a la carte. My husband got the Durango chicken which was smothered in cheese and served with green beans and rice. I tried it and thought it was pretty good! Overall, this has been my favorite Mexican food we have tried in Turin and I would return! I saw a lot of items on their menu that sounded appealing. Strangely, both tables on either side of us ordered burgers? So although it is a Mexican restaurant, the burgers seem popular and perhaps worth a try, haha!
