Re-purposed building Turning out some killer beer Middle of nowhere This is likely the most isolated brewery in the State of Minnesota. It is very close to being the most northwestern spot in the State. You are super close to the border with Manitoba, Canada in some seriously flat land. The building was a gas station back in the day, and it shows. Have had a chance to try a couple of their beers in the Twin Cities. You know they must be good if they get distribution to a city over six hours away. Was impressed with the couple I had here at home and also impressed with what I had up there. Sours and IPA's seem to be their specialties. My two favorite styles. They are the Barrel Theory of Northern MN. Would be there constantly if it didn't require so much gas money and a hotel stay. read more

Revelation Ale Works - the outside of the building - Breweries Near Me - Hallock, Minnesota

Never thought I'd visit Hallock, MN but when I saw there was a brewery there I knew it was just a matter of time. This used to hold the record of being Minnesota's northern most brewery until Lake of the Woods opened in Warroad. The taproom, that used to be a gas and service station, is fairly small. Their production building is right next door where they brew and can. Beer was great here, I rated everything I had over a 4 on untappd, sours were fantastic. Seemed to have a great variety and rotate thier options frequently. I'll be keeping an eye out for their beer around town, and if I'm ever within an hour of Hallock I'd consider making a detour to visit the taproom again. read more

Awesome brewery and a great setting, A++ beer and great pizza to go along with it. The staff knows the beer and have several to try including awesome flights and then grab a pint of your favorite and a growler to head home with. read more

Since we live an hour plus away we called to make sure that they had their blackberry guava sour - woman on the phone said "Yes!" We drove the hour plus to get there and ordered it. Man at the bar said "we're out." I stated that we called before leaving an hour ago and he rudely said "that was an hour ago"... NOT "wow, I'm sorry you drove an hour for nothing but things sell out fast - what else could we get you" or any other appropriate response. Maybe the product is so good that they can afford to be rude about it but I'll never know since they won't get a second chance. Other breweries have nice people working for them and those places will get my business instead. read more
