What a surprise! I'm a thrift hound and couldn't leave Västerås without making a concerted effort to peep into every thrift store I could find that was open when I was near. This address popped up in a Google search and my Swedish husband was like "huh". He couldn't fathom what thrift store would be in this sort of industrial area.
Advice: Find your way there and don't be surprised if you're still there an hour later.
This store just opened not long before our visit in June 2017. The owner, a super nice and helpful fella, gave us a tour of the place which has many rooms which are coordinated by era. Interested in mid-century modern, for example? He has a room full of that! He identified and gave us some history about some really cool items in his store including some projects that he's working on. A major keyword for this store is quality. He has nice stuff. I really enjoyed learning some Swedish history here as I perused the various rooms in his store.
My guess is he's going to do really well in this endeavor. He's creating a new niche in the thrift store category. Go check him out and pass the word. read more
