After seeing her, they said she needed to be hospitalized and the cost would be $2,500. When I said I didn't have that amount, they kept asking how much I could pay and what my budget was; I ended up paying $750 for medication and took her home. Yes, she did get better, but when I called the next day, the vet wasn't available; I asked for a return call, but they never called back. Afterward, I shared my experience in a Google review and received an email stating that they would no longer treat my dog. As if I'd want to go back there! Anyway, I've already booked an appointment for her somewhere else.

I've been a client of Treehouse for approximately six years, and this is now my second review of…read moretheir practice. Over the years, Treehouse has cared for me and my fur babies through all stages of life, and their unwavering compassion, attention to detail, and dedication to their patients are why I will continue to advocate for and recommend their practice to every pet owner I know. In April of this year, my Doberman, Lexi, was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), a devastating and ultimately terminal disease that is unfortunately all too prevalent in the breed. Receiving that diagnosis was heartbreaking, but navigating the months that followed presented an entirely different set of challenges. Managing DCM requires constant vigilance, careful attention to even the smallest changes, and a delicate balance between prolonging a pet's life and preserving their quality of life. Just as importantly, it requires helping the pet owner understand the disease, anticipate its progression, and make difficult decisions along the way. Dr. Boyd and the entire Treehouse staff handled every aspect of this process with an extraordinary level of compassion, patience, and care. From the beginning, Dr. Boyd understood not only the medical complexities of Lexi's diagnosis but also the emotional weight it carried for me. She made herself available to care for my girl until the very end. Because DCM is an unpredictable and constantly evolving disease, Lexi's treatment required close monitoring and frequent adjustments. Dr. Boyd quickly connected us with a cardiologist and remained in constant communication with the specialist throughout the remainder of Lexi's life, working collaboratively to evaluate changes in her condition and adjust her care accordingly. Equally important was the open line of communication Dr. Boyd maintained with me. She was consistently responsive to my questions and concerns, no matter how small, and took the time to explain what was happening, what we could expect, and what our options were. Her attentiveness gave me an invaluable sense of reassurance during an incredibly uncertain time. I never had to question whether we were overlooking something or whether I was doing everything possible for my girl. I knew we had a team that was just as invested in her well-being as I was. From the day of her diagnosis, we understood that our time with Lexi was limited. She ultimately passed away while we were on vacation together, and although her passing was sudden and devastating, I will forever be grateful that Dr. Boyd had prepared me for the possibilities we might face. Even in those heartbreaking final moments, I never felt uninformed or unprepared for what was happening. That peace of mind, particularly in a situation where so much was beyond my control, was an extraordinary gift. When we shared the news of Lexi's passing with Dr. Boyd and the Treehouse staff, their grief and compassion were genuine. They didn't simply lose a patient; they mourned with us. And I think that speaks to what makes this practice so special. Treehouse is not a revolving door of patients and appointments. They know me. They know my family. They knew Lexi, not simply as a patient with a complicated medical condition, but as a deeply loved member of our family. Their care extends far beyond the examination room, and the relationships they build with their patients and their families are sincere. We have another Doberman, and Dr. Boyd has already helped us establish a proactive plan to monitor his health and prepare for the possibility of a future DCM diagnosis. In doing so, she has helped us find a balance between being vigilant about his health and simply enjoying the time we have with him, all while honoring Lexi's memory. There are few things more difficult than watching a beloved pet decline despite doing everything in your power to help them. I cannot adequately express how grateful I am that Dr. Boyd and Treehouse helped me navigate Lexi's final months with such compassion, honesty, and dedication. They gave me the knowledge and confidence to advocate for my girl, the reassurance that she was receiving the best care possible, and the comfort of knowing that we were never navigating any of it alone. I cannot recommend Treehouse highly enough. After six years, I can say without hesitation that they are so much more than our veterinary practice. They are an extension of our family, and I truly believe they care for us as though we are an extension of theirs.
