Our group loved this place! We stopped after seeing the cenote to rest a bit and get some water but we ended up getting some food which was really good. We got to practice our Spanish with our server, he was really nice and attentive. The bathrooms are extremely clean and nice to use before getting on the road. Highly recommend!

You shouldn't go anywhere else. Food and fun in one beautiful atmosphere. That's all there is to it. Price is on point. We fed 9 people with left overs for 1200mx. You can't get any better than that price wise. And the flavor... dying it's so good. I really hope the next time we are in the area it's still around. We are actually thinking about taking the hour and a half drive from Playa to go here again. You get to go down into the cenote for free with paid meal. The bathrooms are impeccable and the service is lovely. Honestly, I can't say enough good things about this place. Want to eat and enjoy one of the prettiest scenery there is? This is it. P.S. The cenote must be amazing at night, I saw lighting in the cavernous walls.

This place was awesome!!!! The waiters were great and really patient with our minimal Spanish skills. We ordered the jumbo platter of native foods from the maya and Yucatan people. It was so much food! For 4 people a suggest ordering the Familia platter instead of the jumbo unless your group are eaters because the 4 of us, all adults, couldn't finish the jumbo platter. If you eat at the restaurant they allow you to enter the centoe for free and also use their bathrooms to change for free as well. Otherwise you are paying for the bathrooms and entrance with the locals.

This is a nice open air place next to a beautiful Cenote (swimming cavern formed by the Yucatan Meteor). The wait staff was above par, though they were afraid of gringos eating the habanero salsa. The squeeze and I had motulenos, tostada with eggs and melted cheese. It's nice to have a friend that can speak the language and knows the staff as well. read more
We had an amazing lunch here. This restaurant is in the center of the city right next to an amazing cenote. The food is delicious and the views of the cenote are incredible. I will remember this restaurant forever, for the gorgeous views, incredible authentic atmosphere, and delicious food. It's the perfect place to stop before visiting the Zaci cenote. Our family had a great meal and we enjoyed some much drinks from the bar after a long drive. Food is tasty, service is fast and friendly and drinks are strong and cheap. Plus eating lunch with this million dollar view was an absolute pleasure. Make this your stop in Valladolid. You will love it. read more

The Cochinita Pibil and Relleno Negro here are as good as it gets. The star of the menu is the Relleno Negro though. As good as my Cochinita Pibil was, I was jealous of my son's Relleno Negro. It was sublime. It had heat, but did not overwhelm the flavors, the turkey was moist and tender, and the sauce was fragrant and deep. The tortillas are probably the second best I ever had. The location just tops it all with a beautiful view of the cenote below. I can't imagine finding finer Comida Yucateca in Valladolid than this. read more

We walked over from our hotel to swim in the cenote and eat lunch upon the recommendation of our hotel owner. The large open air restaurant overlooks the beautiful cenote and entrance to swim is free to restaurant patrons (30 pesos otherwise). The menu is simple - local Yucatan dishes but they also offer breakfast all day. Our kids enjoyed ham and cheese omlettes while my husband and I shared delicious cochinita pibil, empenadas and lime soup. All fresh and delicious and decently priced. There is a woman making fresh tortillas over a fire which my kids enjoyed watching (and tasting). The after lunch swim was refreshing not to mention picturesque! One note: The hotel owner told us management of the restaurant changes every 3 years (something to do with it being on publicly owned land) so quality could differ as management changes. read more
