Established in 1998.

Der Name unseres Restaurants kommt aus Lateinamerika und bedeutet Markt- bzw. Dorfplatz, ein Ort an dem man Freunde trifft, kulinarische Genüsse findet, guten Wein trinkt, diskutiert, verhandelt, speist und lacht... Davon inspiriert, holten wir ein kleines Stückchen dieses Lebensgefühls vor nunmehr 15 Jahren nach Oldenburg

Meet the Business Owner: Claudia S.

Claudia Steinbrecher (ehem. Reinke) eröffnete 1998 das Restaurant Zócalo und ist bis heute noch tätkräftig am Geschäftsalltag beteiligt. Unterstützt wird sie vom Geschäftsführer Uwe Holzenkämpfer, der täglich für die Gäste präsent ist.

vor ca. 2 Wochen war ich mit meiner Freundin im Zocalo essen. Als wir das Restaurant betreten haben, fand ich es sehr schön direkt angesprochen und zum Tisch begleitet zu werden. Der Service war von der ersten Sekunde an sehr aufmerksam, was mir in anderen Restaurants oft fehlt. Als Vorspeise gab es Feigen mit Ziegenkäse und Salat:Der Geschmack war für mich ein Mundorgasmus. Als Hauptspeise hatte ich Fisch, der auch sehr lecker war und reichlich. Nach dem Hauptgang hatten wir gebeten uns ein wenig Zeit bis zum Nachtisch zu geben, welches auch überhaupt kein Problem war. Das Essen kam von Vorspeise bis zum Nachtisch in guten Abständen, so dass der Abend für uns einfach Perfekt war. Ich freue mich jetzt schon darauf bald wieder Gast im Zocalo sein zu dürfen um das gute, frische Essen und sehr leckeren Wein genießen zu können. Danke für den perfekten Abend! read more

Vor einer Woche waren wir zu viert im Zucalo und wurden herbe enttäuscht !!!! Die Leistung der Küche an diesem Abend war eine Katastrophe: der Salat in der Vorspeise war versandet, die Hauptgänge : 2 x Steak, diese waren zäh wie Schuhsohlen, obwohl Medium bestellt wurde, war das Fleisch mehr als durch, die Beilagen waren weich zerkocht und zu allen vier Gerichten konnte wir leider nicht sagen, sie wären nur ansatzweise das Geld (zw. 18,00 24,00 EUR) Wert gewesen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, hat sich auch für unsere Enttäuschung entschuldigt. Leider war unser Abendergebnis, für eine Rechnung von 190,00EUR = nie wieder dort essen!!! read more

Esskultur, die man sonst im Nordwesten nur selten findet. War öfters mit meiner Familie dort essen und wir waren immer alle begeistert und sind auch optimal satt geworden. Tolle Tapas, leckere superscharfe Currysuppe, große Salatauswahl. Preis/Leistung kritisieren hier manche, ich denke: Qualität hat seinen Preis. Außerdem die freundlichsten Bedienungen in Oldenburg. read more
