We split the schnitzel, the bratwurst and the spaetzle all of which were top notch. If you haven't had cheese spaetzle with onions before, be forewarned that it's so good here it might ruin it for you at other places! For dessert we split the strudel and the apple pancake and despite planning only to taste them we devoured them. If you come to Stuttgart this is a place not to miss.

The wine has always been terrible, even though it's local. It was a really lovely beer - my only complaint is that others at the table got twice the amount of foam on top that I got. For food, they have a main menu of all the typical Swabian biergarten foods and but there are also seasonal specials. Right now it's asparagus and strawberries in season, so they were featured prominently. I had a dish of asparagus with crepes and hollandaise, which was very memorable! The asparagus was cooked to this almost creamy consistency while still maintaining the brightness of fresh vegetables. The crepes were buttery and very good. I don't get why it was so expensive though - it was €22 which was more expensive than most of the meat dishes on the menu and it was just a normal-sized dinner. We were in a huge group that reserved the whole restaurant, and for the most part the staff sufficiently managed the big group. There wasn't too long a wait to order and our food came out in a reasonable time.

We had the Weiner Schnitzel and the Schwabenstolz, as in everything from the Schweber kitchen. The spatzle and maultasche were outstanding!
