Atmosphere was warm, and a small live band played after 8 pm -- helpfully adjusting the volume as tables filled and emptied and filled again throughout the night, so as not to become unnecessarily loud. Most of the actual food could use a bit of a kick though. Seafood options were very "Berlin" and not coastal Mediterranean -- the "large shrimps in garlic olive oil" were smaller than my pinky finger, while the scallops in white wine were the size of small coins. The croquettas and patatas bravas needed a little more flavor, although the rabbit in red wine sauce was delicious. Disappointingly, all seven or so dishes we ordered came out at the same time, about 30 minutes after we ordered. Would rather have them come out as they're ready -- surely a spinach salad is ready before a braised meat dish? Will try again -- there's more of the menu to explore and maybe a different line cook will send out the dishes faster on a different night. Plus, friendly service can be a prized commodity in Berlin!

Stopped by Subway on a Sunday evening (most things in Berlin are closed on Sundays). They have…read moretouch screens which you can select English or German to order on. I feel like Subway is a less than ideal place to have ordering screens even though I usually prefer not having to talk to anyone. Strangely they don't have many deli slices here, only ham. Chicken is chunks and they didn't have turkey. So I went with tuna instead. They let you pick sauces but it's hard to tell how much sauce is in the tuna to begin with so I'm not sure it's great in practice. They also were out of a few different bread types but the screen didn't reflect it. Anyway, service was fine but it was a little frustrating.

For us the best Tapa Bar in Berlin. We take long bus rides to get there, and it's totally worth it…read more It's a small family-run place, the food is authentic and tastes just great, the wine selection is formidable, the waiter (owner) is courteous and friendly. The bar is in an old little house next to the church in the "Altstadt" of Köpenick, quiet and beautiful. Very limited space in winter, reservations strongly recommended in summer you can sit outside and enjoy the sunset. Full score!
