The menu for outside is pretty simple, with four different fondue options (classic, champagne, paprika, and herb flavored) as well as a few salad and drink options. Once we were seated, we were greeted by a friendly waiter named Adam. While the menu was all in German, Adam very patiently explained all of the different dishes on the menu to us. We decided on ordering the champagne fondue and herb fondue, which both serve two people. The food came pretty quickly and was served with bread and potatoes. We ordered the two fondue pots for four people, but in hindsight, it was more than enough. Both fondues were very good; however, I prefer the champagne option as it was slightly less salty. I would still recommend both these options and thought the fondue was excellent. The texture and consistency was very smooth and did not feel too heavy. Overall, I had a great experience here. The one note that I will make about the place is that it was a little on the pricier side, but that is to be expected. I would definitely recommend stopping by this restaurant of you are in Thun for the day.

Rolf Fuchs won a world cooking championship as a chef and has worked with and been coached by some of Switzerland's best chefs, including Philippe Rochat, Daniel Bumann and Robert Speth. His cuisine is based on a classical French foundation, augmented by modern technology and his boundless creativity. He's an artist: His paintings adorn the gourmet restaurant, hinting at his culinary artistry, which is as colourful as his paintings. In a word, his cuisine is surprising. You don't really know what you're getting into when you first visit the Fuchs family's restaurant, but you'll never forget the food or the view. They don't have a dedicated pastry chef, but make very good desserts. His crème brulée beats all others in terms of beauty and creativity, a real eye-catcher! A molecular (i.e. frozen in liquid nitrogen) ball of yoghurt, flavoured with ginger, orange and mint was another spectacular surprise. His brownies, made with Valrhona Grand Cru couverture from France, are the best we've had so far even better than mine! Order the special pralines you'll be surprised! Our waitress was helpful with suggestions and quite personable. It is classy inside with a bbq twist. Their presentation of the entrees came with a Tex feel. Their French fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect combo. The prawns were seasoned to perfection as well. The filet was cooked to my husbands request. He said that it had just enough seasoning for taste. Same with the hamburgers. We enjoyed our meal all around and would frequent this location if we were locals. Clever lighting, warm, cozy colors. Everything has a high level of quality and the food is good. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Rooms are spacious, modern yet extremely well designed. Rates are not modest but this is money well spent if you are looking to have a memorable time in one of the best mountain places of central Switzerland.

The menu was extensive enough to contain burritos (that for whatever reason are extremely hard to find in Mexican restaurants in Switzerland), as well as several other basics. After we promptly ordered them, we were pleasantly surprised with just how good the food and drinks were. Despite a bit of a kitsch interior, this place has great food and a highly enjoyable terrace. Overall, it's a safe bet and definitely recommended if you are in the mood for a mexican.
